Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Overall, Albion College is great for a number of reasons. The small campus makes it easy to make friends immediately and meet new people. While living in Albion can be boring at times, making the most of it is sometimes what will leave you with the most memories. There is a sense of community on Albion's campus that is hard to duplicate anywhere else. This isn't to say that everyone gets along, but there is a certain bond between all Albion students.

Albion's liberal arts education is something that also seems to be unique to the College. The professors are approachable, and their excitement for their courses is infectious. Even when you're taking a class that is not related to your major, you appreciate what you learn and are proud of what you've learned in looking back. Beneath the exterior sometimes, Albion is just a down-home friendly kind of place, and a lot of students seek comfort in that and learn to love where they are.

Scholarships: They distribute financial aid to those who need it and students have the ability to re-apply for financial aid if necessary.

Athletics: The athletic events that take place on campus are a part of student life but it is no where near what a Division 1 campus would consist of. We are all proud to be Albion College Britons and support each other by going to games! Our athletic programs are on the rise and championships are within reach for every program.

Facilities: The library is open late every day so you always have time to go there for quiet in order to study. The athletic centers are in need of an update but still usable for those looking to bulk up and increase their cardiovascular endurance. Campus always looks inviting; even in the dead of winter, I find myself looking around at the buildings and stopping in awe of my surroundings.

Facilities: You can always find something to do at Albion. All of the first year students live in the same residence hall so it makes getting to know people very easy. The surrounding area might not allow for the most exciting extracurricular activity but around campus, there are always meetings for clubs, carnivals, concerts, and events going on.

Local Atmosphere: Albion is run-down town that has little going for it except for a couple restaurants and the college.
