The campus strictness is pretty laid back, you really have to try to get in trouble. I only seen the the police on campus once because of a fight, and it was the day basketball won GNACs, so the student body was fired up and got a little out of hand.
There are times when it can be strict and not so much other instances. For example, if it is going to snow, students are not allowed to be parked in certain parking lots. We receive emails and newsletters are posted everywhere. If you park there, your car will get towed. That is the only time they are strict with parking. Other than that, you can park in any parking lot at anytime.
The campus is pretty laid back. Students don't get in trouble too often. Drinking on campus when you are underage is frowned upon and if you get caught drinking, there will be consequences to your actions. Resident Assistants do rounds around the building and you could get written up.
Little Punishments – I heard about a fight that broke out between two students and neither of them got in trouble. It upset me that something like that could happen at such a college level and no consequences took place. I want to feel safe and secure, I do not want to be around fighting where people think it is okay.
Fair and Sensible – As the school is of Dominican Catholic background there is an emphasis on the honor code in regards to academic honesty and cheating. As a commuter it is difficult to evaluate the strictness in the dorms; however there are wet and dry dorms. If you're in a dry dorm I suggest you keep it that way.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
