Campus Strictness: Little Punishments – I heard about a fight that broke out between two students and neither of them got in trouble. It upset me that something like that could happen at such a college level and no consequences took place. I want to feel safe and secure, I do not want to be around fighting where people think it is okay.

Campus Housing: From what I have heard, they have fire alarms way too early in the morning which is an inconvience if students are trying to sleep before classes. What has prevented me from housing is the cost. I'm already strugging to pay the tuition now, so housing is too expensive for me.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: At Albertus, we get it all. Snow, rain, and my favorite, sunshine. I prefer to walk around campus in the warm, sunny weather; however, I have yet to experience a severe snowstorm here.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: Lots of School Spirit – Everyone seems to be very involved and dedicated in school sports, whether you're an onlooking fan or a hardworking athlete. The home games are usually packed and the atmosphere is very welcoming and diverse.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: Printers Not Working/Too Crowded – There is one computer lab in each of the 2 buildings and they get crowded quickly with people not doing serious work as well as getting filled in with actual classes. I've experienced several negative experiences with the printers, whether they have run out of ink or they do not print out my assignment.

4 College Sophomore

Parking: Seeing as Albertus is a very small college there is always a lot of parking, no matter what timie of day it is. And whatever spot you find you'll always get to class on time. Parking is very close to the academic buildings. However, the library parking is pretty bad and there aren't enough spots for the dorm parking.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: Very Diverse – Albertus is located in New Haven which is a very diverse city in Connecticut. We have a lot of diversity in this school. I believe there are more Aican Americans than White students who attend.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: Well Maintained – The Albertus Magnus College campus is very welcoming. It is not crowded, thre's always plenty of parking. Faculty here tries to make the campus as comfortable as possible. The cafeteria isn't the greatest and the prices at the bookstore for our college apparel is a little outrageous. Everyone is accepted and teachers are very dependable and easy to approach. However the school is very small, and to live on campus isn't very exciting.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: New Haven Transit – The New Haven bus company allows students to travel around new haven for free.

3 College Freshman

Nightlife: Downtown New Haven – Nightlife is great for students 21 years and old but is also good for 18 year olds as well. There are clubs and activities around the center of New Haven for everyone to participate in on a daily basis.

Campus Housing: The freshman dorms at Albertus Magnus College are great to live in because you have four options of housing and some are all girl dorms, which allows comfort for some people.

5 College Senior

Academics: Criminal Justice – The Criminal Justice professors care about their students and what they are doing. They help us whenever we need it, and they are passionate about what they do. Many of them have had previous or cocurrent jobs as lawyers, cops, etc.

5 College Senior

Facilities: Campus Aesthetics – The campus is beautiful and well maintained. Most of the buildings are mansions, making the campus even more mesmorizing. It is just a beautiful place to live and go to school.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Public transportation is great around Albertus Magnus. You get all access (for free) on the Yale Shuttle bus. Also, Albertus isn't even 10 minutes away from Downtown New Haven; it's so close you can walk there.

5 College Freshman

Computers: You would never have an issue with the computer labs or library access at Albertus. There are about 500 students that attend the school and there are about 10-15 labs; most students have laptops. Printing on campus is totally FREE of cost. Also, wireless access is FREE all over campus!!

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: This school is awesome! It's a small school and the atmosphere is great. Everyone knows eachother (faculty also). The student-faculty ratio is 13:1. The professor's here are also great. They care whether or not you're doing you're work. Not like huge Universities, Albertus is a great place to learn. We also have a great environment where we can play games and possibly win some extra cash. Some nights we have Bingo Nite, Trivia Nite, or even Game Nite(where you have the chance to play the Wii, XBOX 360, or PS3. You should definately come to check the school out.

4 College Senior

Campus Strictness: Fair and Sensible – As the school is of Dominican Catholic background there is an emphasis on the honor code in regards to academic honesty and cheating. As a commuter it is difficult to evaluate the strictness in the dorms; however there are wet and dry dorms. If you're in a dry dorm I suggest you keep it that way.

2 College Senior

Athletics: There Are Sports? The school population is relatively small, and as a result the sports division lacks. Fan support is fairly limited, games and meets aren't promoted, and the "athletic scene" seems to be hidden in the gym composed of about 6 weight machines.

3 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Active and Safe – New Haven offers a wide selection of cultural activities, museums, resturants, and shopping if you make the effort to get out and discover it. Public transportation is actively available. The neighborhood directly surrounding the school is generally quiet and safe with the exception of a few areas.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: Depends on What You Want – I have never had a problem with on-campus housing. There is one main dorm, Dominican, that is like regular dorms everywhere else, and there are now 4 mansion buildings, Nilan, McAuliffe, Sansbury and now Sienna. 4 of the 5 buildings are co-ed with one girls-only dorm, Sansbury. Nilan, McAuliffe and Sienna are dry and 24-hour quiet. All of the dorms are less than 8 minuets from the academic buildings and less than 5 from the dining hall. Freshman get placed all over and sophomores have the hardest time finding housing just because of their place in the lottery system. Juniors and Seniors have an easy time getting good housing choices and are more likely to score one of the many singles on campus. The mansions have a better community atmosphere just because of their set up, but really any dorm is pretty good.

4 College Senior

Nightlife: Lots of Clubs/Bars – There are plenty of clubs/bars to choose from in New Haven. There are options for every night of the week and every personality. There are plenty of places that allow 18+, but the less skeevy ones are 21+

3 College Senior

Parking: There is plenty of parking around campus, but some of the lots fill up quickly, so you may have to walk 3-4 mins from you car to your dorm. If you commute you shouldn't have too much of a problem finding a space, although it may not be as close to the building as you like.

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: Never Had Personal Experience W/ Drugs – If you are looking for it, it is easy to find, but that is the story everywhere. I have never really run into drug use, but i also haven't sought it out either. There is little pressure to do drugs etc. Drinking is also there if you are looking for it, but RAs are always on the lookout for underage drinking, and 1/2 of the buildings are dry and come with heftier penalties. There is always 1 person who gets alcohol poisoning every year and everyone finds out, which prevents others from making that same mistake. All vices are available for those who want to partake, but pressure from others isn't enough to make you feel uncomfortalble

College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Ehh Idk – I have only lived on campus, and most who do not commute from their parent's house.

4 College Senior

Off-Campus Dining: There are so many places near by that are within walking distance or deliver. There is a great variety of Chinese/ Asian foods, Pizza and other sorts of deliveries. Downtown New Haven, about a 10 minute walk, is teeming with all sorts of dining places, and there are plenty of vegetarian options around too
