Facilities: The Scoop on the Rams – To start with the academic programs, we offer programs like Forensic Science and we're the only school in the region. I don't know much about campus life, but I do know that there are always involving evetns being held in the union. I think the best thing that makes ASU unique is the family orientated, academic, and party life on campus. The school, in itself, offers everything needed to fulfill the academic and social needs of the students. It gives a great balance and understanding for studies.

Parking: Parking is pretty good at ASU. You may not be able to get a spot too close to the door due to the fact that students are very dedicated to attending class. But it's never much of a hassle. I do know that you must have a sticker to park on campus. I think a car is a must have on campus, although everything is walking distance. There's opportunities off campus that I think students should explore.

Athletics: Most of our teams seem very good. Especially Girls' Volleyball. Most of the seasons haven't started yet, but I've enjoyed some events.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: School Policies – The rules we do have aren't really to break up the fun rather than to just promote safety around the campus. For the most part we're not restricted but we know our limtations.

Campus Dining: Dining Hall – the food around campus is alright. We're in the process of getting some more options put in. The dining hall is the main source of food right now but we also have a food court in the student center and a subway. Chick-fil-a and KFC are coming shortly.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: General Campus Aesthetics – The facilities are really nice. We have a nice student center but are in the process of being built a brand new one. The cafe is being remodeled and all of our old learning buildings are as well.

Overall Experience: I Love My ASU – Albany State University is a fun environment. I really enjoy being here and my volleyball teammates make my life a whole lot easier. My school is unique in it's own ways that are indescribable. It's like my home away from home here.It has been hard at times but the good old Golden Ram Pride has always allowed me to stand strong and make it through.

Weather: Too Hot to Enjoy – Albany is HOT. The heat can really cause you to not enjoy your campus life. It has affected me dramatically because I have chronic asthma. I can hardly stay outside in the hot weather. It is hard to enjoy the outdoors here.

Academics: Vigorous Yet Rewarding – Academics at Albany State University always comes first. Albany State University is known for it's successful Health and Sciences programs. Though these programs excel, the other programs offered are highly scored as well. The professors do their best to ensure that each individual student is understanding concepts and they also are vigorous so that we don't take life as an easy task. The workload is equally balanced per class based on credit hours and your major. There are also numerous opportunities to get help from tutors, teacher assistants, advisors, and even other students. The staff treats you like family so you have a sense of comfort as well. The academics at Albany State University shall forever be there for a student in need.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: New Weird and Different – The majority race at ASU is mostly African American. Besides that there is alot of different backgroud lifestyles.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Safe, Quiet, and Calm – I never have to worry about my safety here at the school. The police does a wonderful job and so does the staff.

Local Atmosphere: The Best Place – The school overrall is fun and exciting. I stay meeting new people and thats the best thing. This isn't the best place to shop unless you are willing to drive far.

Nightlife: Party Party Party – Here there is always some type of party or a group of friends having a good time it is fairly easy to find clubs around here because they're all so close to the school. If your looking to have a good time you will definately find it in ALbany.

Campus Housing: Hall 3 – Hall 3 dorms are pretty good they have a whole lot more room than the fresmen dorms and you dont have to share your room with a roomate.

Parking: Parking on campus is a hassle. Many students do not have a parking space or they have to park in the dirt parking lot.

Campus Housing: Housing and Residence Life – In the freshmen dorms the students have to live with two other rooms instead of one other roommate. There is not enough furniture for the three roommate. Upperclassman do not have enough housing. Many students were forced to live off campus.

Athletics: Very Good – The sports at this school is very diverse and a lot of fun to be at. The school spirit is very high and you will always have a great time at an event. Sometimes at the event, usually the first game of the season, they give out free t-shirts or other prizes.

3 College Junior

Academics: It Is Manageable. The classes at Albany State University are not that difficult as long as you put the effort into it. The tests for most of the classes are fair and the teachers there are not that bad. Most of them will take the time out to help you.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: Its not a very strict campus unless you stay in hall 2 the head Ra in that building is crazy with no remorse for peoples privacy.

2 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drug Usage – I gues our drug proplem isnt that bad besides marijauna I havent seen anything else used

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Its okay but there are only a few places that offer discounts

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: My experience really got off t a slow start with complications in registration and financial aid.... much disorder. However once that was in place the opportunit has been great and the instructors are so very helpful. This university has made me feel at ease about being a non traditonal student.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: Campus Safety – I do not live on campus as I am a non-traditional student. I have never lived on campus. I feel safe when on campus day or night and have never heard of or witnessed unsafe activity.

3 College Senior

Computers: Need for Personal Computer at School – The school computer labs and the library supply ample computers and printers at my university. However some of the computer labs have more modernized computers and printers than others. Also some of the computer labs are more accessible than other.
