Facilities: I feel the Library is unoragnized. The Books are not easy to find.

Campus Housing: The dorms is a good choice when determining to stay on campus or off campus. Its much cheaper and makes getting around easier. The housing process has became easier over the years and makes it easier for students to get a room. The new dorms was a great achievement which allowed more room although the older dorms really are not that appealing. The atmosphere is good and the resident assistance are a great help. Living on campus is a wise decision.

4 College Senior

Facilities: A recently built student center is a very good place. Everyone is able to interact with friends and also quiet place where people can study. Its convenient to have many different sections in there such as the bookstore, the post office and a restaurant. The library have an average number of computers and a great place to study. The overall campus is a great experience with exceptional students and staffs.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: Health & Safety – The security on campus is good although it is an open campus. Police arrive in a timely manner and settle many different disputes in an orderly manner.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: Drug Binge – Students are more likely to have a drinking problem on campus than a drug problem, even though there are some who come on campus just to get a high feeling.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: alcohol is relatively easy to get and it is permitted on 2 of the 4 quads on campus. There isn't a lot of peer pressure, but the enforcement policies are pretty strict

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: there are few recognized frats and sororities. Most of the frats or sororities are underground.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Dining Options – there are a lot of options around campus, and most of them are affordable or offer some kind of student discount.

5 College Senior

Academics: Psychology Instructors Are Dedicated – There is a shortage of psychology instructors at ASU. The few instructors that they do have are required to work an overload. I enjoy going to my psychology classes and the instructors are GREAT! I learn something new everyday.

Local Atmosphere: Small Town With No Attractions – Albany is a small town located in Georgia. There is nothing to do in Albany and there aren't any main attractions. Albany State University is all this town has to offer!

5 College Senior

Campus Housing: Campus Life – Living on campus can be costly but benefical in ways that you dont have to burn gas driving to and from school. If class is cancelled you can walk back to your room and not linger around. The amenities are accessible. Refridgarators, microwaves, washers and dryers are present in the dorm room. You can save money by cooking instead of going to the fast food resturant.

3 College Senior

Computers: Computers are accessible to every student on campus along with a printer. The computer are now upgraded to a touch screen computer. There are comfortable seats in the labs. The wireless systems works everywhere on campus. The only problem/ concern in the computer labs, when i printer runs out of paper there's no one to refill the tray. In order to get paper you have to walk over to another building thats 3 minutes away.

Facilities: Albany State University has recently upgrade the student center, cafeteria and built new halls for the upcoming freshmens. The student center has a ball room for pageants, plays and programs with separate changing closets. It has a lounge area for students to hang out and a large dining area. A.S.U. now has Subway, Chick fil a, pizza hut and other ventors to accommadate the students.

Majors: Decisions Determine Your Destiny – I attend Albany State University, & thus far I have been some what dissatisfied with my education. Although I know deadlines are a part of life, they are provided like they should be. The workload seems to be reasonable, but the time management is very dysfunctional.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Living La Vida Loca – Albany is genuinely a nice size town, but gives the small town feel. They have a lot of down south southern restaraunts that offer traditional "soulfood." The downside to this is, the night life is often the same thing all the time. As far as safety goes, I do feel protected to a certain extent, but I also feel as if Im the only one who truly cares about my safety.

3 College Freshman

Academics: Exploring My History – I came to Albany State University to further my education because it is an HBCU [Historically Black College & University]. Although the registration process seemed to be a little hectic, i did recieve all the classes I registered for. Study table is offered to all freshmen to offer more study time and a different enviorment to achieve success in the classroom.

Scholarships: Apply Quickly – Apply early and stay on top of your advisor the are not much help.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Could Use Improvement – The campus is nice but the is not much to do in the area. The school has good professors but the financial aid and other department like such need major improvement.

4 College Senior

Weather: The weather is good but I can change quickly. The heat can be tuff at times.

4 Recent Alumnus

Nightlife: The nightlife is good. There are many bars around that admit college students for half price. Many of the greeks have parties that are for ASU students.

3 Recent Alumnus

Facilities: Student Center – The student center is clean. There are opportunities for jobs, and always different peer related events on campus.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academics: Educational Opportunities and Fun Times – I enjoyed my school experience. I am a member of a greek organization. The school always provides volunteer sites and lectures to improve the overall college experience.

1 College Sophomore

Transportation: Non Existant – There is no transportation on Albany State University's campus.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The Campus Life to Die for – The campus life is somewhat lively.......on the weekends. During the week there is really not much to do but to go to class. However, during the weekend, starting on that Thursday there is tons to do, whether it be a party, a forum, a fashion show, a play, or etc. there is always something to do so you will never be bored.

5 College Sophomore

Academics: Close Knit Family – I chose Albany State University because I was Jonathan Simmons and not student number 34,494. Albany State and its faculty actually accepted me into their family and I received one on one attention whether it be in the classroom, on campus, or in one of their offices. Albany State University truly has become my family.
