2 College Freshman

Nightlife: Parties are not that interesting here, especially for people under 21. There are many clubs 21 and and over but as for underage night life, I say your best bet is a dorm party.

Local Atmosphere: Not the greatest city in the world. There is a lot of crime/bad neighborhoods, but the campus is very safe and homey.

5 College Student

Parking: Parking is great. There is always spots for the people living at the dorm and the commuters.

5 College Student

Transportation: Transportation is great. Most students have their cars but there is a bus, taxis and the amtrack is very close to the school.

5 College Student

Campus Strictness: Public Safety is great. There is always a number to call if there is a problem. Also, around campus there are buttons to press if a person feels threatened.

5 College Student

Campus Housing: I absolutely love my school. I love the dorms for the 1st year and 2nd year students. The student center is beautiful and easy to get to.

3 College Student

Diversity: The campus is diverse, but the majority of people are white. There are many different and interesting multicultural events and food. Overall, the people are accepting and understanding of any and all beliefs.

Health & Safety: The safety is great here. No-one has time to pull off pranks or to even attempt any criminal acts. In the event of an emergency, there is a messaging system that sends a message to your phone, email, and even to your house if you choose.

Off-Campus Dining: The food review gets a B+ because there aren't too many quick and also healthy food options. The best place to eat by far is Chicken Joe's. The prices are reasonable, and the amount of food that one gets is fantastic for the price. I go at least once every two weeks, and I have left overs for the following day.

Off-Campus Dining: Most Restaurants that are off-campus you need a car to get to, but there is Panera and Recovery Grill which are both great and have good prices. There aren't any student discounts for either, but Panera does have a card that anyone can get to recieve special offers and it does come in handy.

Greek Life: Greek Like isn't that big of a deal unless you are in it. No one thinks they are any better for being in Greek Life it is just there for parties and charity things such as blood drives. No one on campus is separated because they are in Greek Life or not.

Local Atmosphere: The school is surrounded by a bad area in town. Within a few streets on either side there have been numerous reports of violence, rapes, events that are expected in a city, but I wouldnt suggest going out unless you are in a decent size group. There are two malls near by ACPHS one being less than 10 miles away, there is a park just down the road that is a 5 minute walk, but nothing to spectacular around this part of Albany.

Transportation: If there is any transportation here it is by people who cannot drive a bus, or a bus that does not fit into your schedule. your best bet here for transportation is to find a friend with a car!

Off-Campus Dining: There are not very many places to eat that are close to the college. The restaurants suggested by the college have horrible reviews they do not have the most flavorful or healthy food. Some of the places are cheap but getting to the places that don't deliver can be a pain if you do not have your own way of transportation.

Guys & Girls: Most people take the effort to dress nicely when going to class. Both the boys and the girls are incredibly good-looking and take some time to make themselves look good.

Weather: It rains a lot. Be prepared with rain boots and an umbrella when you come here. Also, make sure to have a good, thick winter coat because it can get very windy as well. However, most days it's fairly mild.

Majors: It's not extremely hard to get into the college. You have to apply for your track. Since about 95% of the school is pharmacy, it is much easier to get into that program. In my class, only 50 other students aren't on the pharmacy route, making that a lot harder to get into. The application process is the same as any other college.

Facilities: This is an incredibly small campus. There are four residence halls, one classrooms building, one building for lab and lecture, the student center for lectures, one library, one fitness center and the student center as a dining hall. The only two big sports that are played here are soccer and basketball and we just reached Division 3. The school tries its very best to set up different kinds of activities, but most of them aren't very interesting and don't attract many people.

2 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: If you just want to take a quick walk off campus to get a bite, then the only two options are a sports bar and Panera Bread. They aren't bad, but in order to go to nicer restaurants, you have to go to the area by the mall which is about 30 minutes away in a car or bus. On the weekends, the buses are overly croweded with students from all the colleges in the area trying to the get to the mall. However, at the mall there's a load of areas. Some of the places accept "flex money" from your student card, but this is very rare.

Campus Housing: It's great to have a private bathroom inside of your dorm room. Only issue is that you have to clean it. It's also nice that you can control the heat and cold inside of your room as well. Only problem is that the RAs don't enforce any of the rules. Might as well just not have them at all.

Majors: I currently have an internship with CVS/pharmacy. Not all students have internships, but you should if you attend this professional school, because I think you learn more on site than in the actual classroom, regarding the drugs and working with patients.

3 College Student

Majors: Pharmacy is becoming more and more of a competitive field. They always say the "getting in, is the hardest part," but then you're in and you have to stay in, which makes the getting in part look like cake. Good luck if you apply. I transferred, and I was 1 of about 20 out of the 200 some who applied..

3 College Student

Majors: It is what it is. It's a very structured program so there isn't much lee-way when it comes to picking classes or times or anything like that. I disliked it at first, but you get used to it.

3 College Student

Majors: The program is very rigorous, and requires you put a lot of time and effort in to your studies. I do enjoy what I am learning, but the professors could be more helpful. And it wouldn't kill them to give us a break once in a while.

5 College Student

Health & Safety: No problems. Once incident on campus and was notified immediately
