3 College Sophomore

Diversity: The student population is very small, and yet there is a decent representation from many other ethnicities and backgrounds.

Weather: Rains a lot. It only gets really warm in the summer, and most of the time its either really cold, raining or snowing.

4 College Student

Transportation: Students get free rides on the public buses. Its great and convenient, but there are not a lot of bus routes to choose from.

4 College Student

Parking: There is a lot of parking options, but only in the mornings, the lots get filled up pretty quickly.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: There is only one off campus housing option provided, which is the University Heights housing. It is very close to campus, but it is shared with two other schools and so a lot of people don't know each other.

Majors: The majors are fairly limited at ACPHS. The pharmacy program is great! However, the Bachelors of Science programs are still up and coming. The major thing that I don't like about the majors is how structured everything is. Although I do understand the reason for it, because we need to know a lot of information to get your doctorate in six years.

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of restaurants in the Albany area. I personally like Chicken Joe's a lot and Bomber's has great burritos! All of these restaurants are within walking distance and have great food.

Campus Dining: Chartwells is very expensive, has a poor selection, and is your only real option.

Academics: Just don't go here, really. It's not a good school.

4 College Student

Nightlife: Close to clubs and a lot of bars, the campus doesnt normally have anything going on though

5 College Student

Majors: The program is very focused on just what you need to know for your degree. I enjoy it because it is very interesting. It may be a lot of work but due to the small number of students in the program it is easy to get a good relationship with the facualty.

4 College Student

Transportation: With your student ID you can ride the busses for free around town and everywhere else they run. You can pay to keep your car on campus or if you live off campus keep it there also

4 College Student

Local Atmosphere: close to shopping malls, a park and bars. It is a clean campus in a good area of the city.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: The program is very demanding and daily studying is a necessity. I love it! While it is challenging, it's also rewarding.

College Sophomore

Majors: I have never had an internship however, I wold like to have one to gain experience in the field. Where I live, it's difficult to find an internship which is frustrating.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I am very happy with my program. It's exciting to know that in a few years I'll be able to apply everything that I know and help patients. Ideally I would like to own an independent pharmacy and get to know the patients' families well so that I can better serve their needs. The job market is scarce for any occupation including pharmacy which worries me for when I graduate.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: There are many pre-requisites to be accepted in to the PharmD program however if you are currently a science major, there shouldn't be too many extra classes that you would need to take. The PCATS must be taken when applying which is expensive and a very long day. The most important criteria is to have motivation to help the community and have strong people skills.

1 College Student

Computers: Don't buy the school computer, they are expensive and pieces of crap. Better off spending the same amount of money on a macbook or something of higher quality. Wireless coverage is decent but pretty unreliable and slow

2 College Student

Guys & Girls: Half of the students never leave their dorm room and despite the small class size, you'll probably never know who they are. Most of the guys are cocky rich kids who weren't popular in high school and want to make up for it. Hot girls don't exist here...

3 College Student

Campus Dining: For a small school, it is as good as you get. Plenty of healthy options at any meal time of the day, as well as pizza and burger for those who like it. Fruits and vegetebles are not very accesible. Tim Horton's and Coldstone make for great additions

3 College Student

Weather: Cold and very windy when walking on campus for 75% of the time you are there. When it is nice, the campus has a nice turf field to play any sport on and there are many intramural leagues that use it. There is a large muddy field in the path to go to the student center that you must avoid.

3 College Student

Facilities: The college is clean and and natural, despite being locked in the middle of the city. Quite a small school, but it still has everything you need, in the gym, library, and student center. There are many off campus activities, such as trips, with transportation included, so you will never be bored.

3 College Freshman

Majors: I am very happy with the course I have chosen, if you get involved in the right field of your career it can be rewarding both financially and emotionally. I would definitely still pursue a career in pharmacy if I could do it all over again. When I graduate I want to work in Retail Pharmacy and eventually open my own pharmacy. There is a little concern at the present time about finding a job, because the job market has become flooded.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I received a good amount of financial aid because of my high school grades and my SAT scores. However, I did notice that people in the more popular pharmacy major received less scholarships than the not as popular Bachelor's in Science Programs.

1 College Freshman

Computers: There are no computer labs. It is required that each student bring his/her own laptops or buy one from the school.
