Guys & Girls: There are a wide variety of people attending Albany College of Pharmacy. The population ranges from classy to very out spoken and is distributed evenly among these classes.

4 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: Being that Albany College of Pharmacy is located in a city, there is a wide variety of off campus options within walking distance of the campus.

2 College Student

Academics: The most popular major at Albany College of Pharmacy is the Pharm.D. degree, which is the most difficult. Some professors have a strong accent which makes classes confusing and difficult.

4 College Student

Academics: For the most part professors at Albany College of Pharmacy are very helpful and have flexible office hours. Some professors utilize online tests, which means no partial credit.

3 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: You can live within about a mile of Albany College of Pharmacy but it is pricey because it is the city cost.

4 College Student

Campus Strictness: Albany College of Pharmacy isn't a very strict school as long as you don't break the law. It is a dry campus so there are few problems. The academics are very difficult requiring a lot of study time.

3 College Student

Campus Dining: At Albany College of Pharmacy, the food is expensive and not that great. The pizza is constantly over cooked as well as most of the other options.

College Student

Computers: At Albany College of Pharmacy there are not computer labs because laptops are required. They recommend a very expensive lap top that isn't necessarily the best lap top for the job. The wireless is unpredictable and sometimes you cannot download in class content.

3 College Student

Parking: At Albany College of Pharmacy parking can be a nightmare if you arrive between 9am and 1pm. There are never spots to park in between these hours, which makes students arrive to school earlier than necessary.

2 College Student

Majors: There is no room to chose your path to get to your degree, the courses are all planned out in front of you.

Scholarships: It was easy to apply and hear back from the financial aid committee but the maximum financial aid is ridiculous. They are incredibly stingy when it comes to giving any money out, I'd recommend applying for external aid.

Weather: It's really windy all of the time, but other than that it's average New York weather. Snow in the winter, rain all of the rest of the year.

4 College Student

Campus Housing: The rooms are bigger than average and every room, even for the freshmen, gets its own bathroom. It used to be a nursing home and it still shows, but it is better than the average university's dorming.

Greek Life: There is barely any Greek life except for the one professional frat. It's pathetic, their initials even spell Rx.

2 College Student

Guys & Girls: Everyone just studies. There are barely any parties during the year besides first week and the guys at the school all lock themselves in their rooms and don't talk to anyone.

3 College Student

Parking: There are always spots if you bought a parking permit but those are over $300. I guess it's worth it if you're bringing your car as you'll always have a spot but be prepared for the steep cost.

Computers: I don't even know if there are any computer labs on campus. There are probably like 3 desktops in the library but the school pretty much makes you purchase a laptop during the summer before your first year. The laptops they recommend are very nice and in my opinion worth the extra money.

Overall Experience: The professors are gossipy and uptight, and they don't understand the stress of the program. Right now I'm learning from one professor who has ANY experience in Pharmacy and she doesn't even have a Pharm.D.

3 College Student

Health & Safety: You have to remember that the campus is in the middle of Albany. It's okay to walk alone on campus during the day, but at night on campus and anytime of the day off campus you don't want to walk around alone.

2 College Student

Drug Safety: Although the campus safety officers always roam around the halls, they only address students if their music is too loud. There haven't been any big busts so far this year and many students drink and do drugs.

Facilities: There's nothing great and there's nothing terrible about the facilities. There's a small gym that can handle the needs of the small school, the library was newly renovated but feels very sterile and isn't a cozy place to study. There are barely any campus traditions after the first month of school, and the students are ALWAYS studying so the social areas barely even matter.

2 College Student

Facilities: Really it is the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. That's all there is. I'd say about 85% of the students are in the Pharm.D program and then there are the B.S. students. There is no variety, as we're all there for the same thing. Everyone is antisocial and just studies all the time.

2 College Student

Local Atmosphere: People at ACPHS rarely go off campus, for the reasons that there is absolutely nothing to do, and the students never break away from their books and studying long enough to leave the library or their dorm. Although the campus is in the middle of Albany, it's not an exciting city at all.

4 College Student

Campus Strictness: They really don't tell anyone anything. They don't really do there job either. Just drive/walk around all day and talk to each other.

Health & Safety: Its not really unsafe during the day but is a concern at night since it is an open campus. Plus the buildings are really spread out and one should be aware of their surroundings.
