4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: The most common places students eat at is Burger King, Sonic, and Hungry Howies because they are walking distance. They are the closest to the campus and dont cost much to eat at. If students want to eat somewhere else they would have to drive because they are too far.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: The athletic facilities on campus are the best! We even have more than one gym. The stands are always filled with fans at every game. More students are involved during football season than basketball.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: My campus police is extremely strict and enforce school policies heavily. They do not tolerate in room visitation, drug use, or alcohol use on campus. Everyone who could not follow the rules were kicked out of housing. They also stay outside late at night to make sure we are safe.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I always enjoy the games and watching the band perform. I would chose my school over again because it s a good fit for me. Im doing great in my classes and I enjoy it. The professors care about the students and try their best to help us with our studies.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: Mostly everyone is friendly and highly involved in on campus activities. They dress nice and have an unique sense of fashion. Although there are some people on campus who is more interested in parties, most are focused on their education.

1 College Junior

Campus Dining: I've been to many other college campuses and I can honestly say that State has the worse dining hall and staff. They are lazy and complain about serving the students food. The food is not edible on an everyday basis. I personally got sic from the cafe once and couldn't eat for 2 weeks. Also, it closes way to early and that is inconvenient for the school. Food is a big part of our nutrition, all we want is to be able to eat great food In the cafe without being insulted by the staff.

4 College Junior

Greek Life: Everyone loves to see the Greeks put on a show. Most non-Greeks put some Greeks on high pedestals and feel like you have to join a Greek to be admired by everyone. My personal opinion, Greeks are great, but they're no different than anyone else on campus. We all are great students and are there for many of the same reasons; to enjoy college and graduate.

2 College Junior

Scholarships: As an out of state, individual student, I am trying my hardest to get as much aid help as I can without taking out many private loans that I have no help paying back. It's hard for me to pay off college with having a large balance each semester, but I'm trying to get through it by applying for scholarships or anything I can to make it easier on myself.

4 College Junior

Diversity: Everyone is welcomed on campus by other students for who they are. Of course there are some that's judgmental more than others, but overall every one is pretty much themselves

4 College Junior

Academics: ASU offers many great opportunities to students but it's up to them to want to be active and participate. There are many ways to form study groups around campus like in the library, classroom buildings, or even in the lobby of dorms. You choose your own classes and times according to your major which is the fun part. Most of The instructors are very warm hearted and helpful as long as you show them you're trying.

4 College Junior

Academics: My major at my school is communications with a focus on radio and television. They offer many things on campus to help us in our field so that way when we are ready to do internships or actually go out there and work, we would already have knowledge and hands on activities. For instance, they have a radio station where you can volunteer at on campus, they provide cameras for students to film games live, etc.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love college. By all one of the best decisions I've made so far in my life. Coming to school is like moving away from home and starting your own life, until it's time to go back home of course. Honestly, I wouldn't choose to attend this school again because of the environment.

3 College Junior

Majors: I can't speak on this because I haven't started interning yet.

2 College Junior

Campus Strictness: I think the campus needs to lighten up. They're strict for no reason. It is college and the students just want to have fun in a safe way and enjoy their college experience.

4 College Junior

Athletics: When there is a game going on on campus, everyone attends it including faculty and staff. They are the hype of the school and it brings everyone together as a big family watching the crowd cheer on the athletes as they play on the field, or on the court.

3 College Junior

Facilities: Campus is very beautiful. It gives students a reason to want to come outside and socialize other than just going to class and straight to their dorm. Their are many buildings on campus that stay open late for students sake as far as studying or doing homework. It's convenient for many. Also, the school offers a variety of programs for students to get involved in and stay on the right track.

3 College Junior

Facilities: Students have many options to choose from when hanging out. Many buildings are left open until late to give them opportunities to socialize, study, or even get homework done. Only downfall is that al of the dorms are no visitation allowed. That needs to be changed.

3 College Junior

Guys & Girls: Everyone at the school are in cliques. Most of the people are friendly but of course it's college so you're always gonna have that one crowd that sits around and critique people everyday because they have nothing better else to do with themselves.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are several options near the school but you get tired of them quick. Also, all of them are closed no later than 10pm with the exception of Taco Bell and Waffle House and most kids don't want to be stuck eating that every night.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: It's normal. They won't bother you unless you're doing wrong.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: I'm assuming it's great. You just have to make sure you have your deposit for your dorm room early so you can be guaranteed a room. Dorm like if like any other college. I won't experience this until January.

4 College Junior

Diversity: They don't judge just because the school is an HBCU. They accept students that they feel will represent the school well!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The process was longer because I'm an out of state applicant.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: It's takes awhile to process paperwork like any other college.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: I haven't entered school yet. I assume it's okay.
