Majors: Now that we was have a dance major, I am very content. The only thing i would like to see more, is more scholarship oppurtunities for students in the local area and not just transfers and people outside of the AL area. Other than that, it provides alot of learning and great opputunites for students and we all benefit in some kind of way!

Athletics: The athletic people play a huge part in our university and alot of people are involved. They are usually happy and friendly around campus. They work hard and they play hard.

Guys & Girls: Usually the people here are prettty friendly. You have your groups that will stick together but we have alot of school participation in activities and events, so I would say pretty cool.

Campus Dining: We have a nice dining facility. However, i think there could be a better variety of items that we have to eat and more healthy choices like more fruits and vegetables. And maybe could stay open later than so.

Health & Safety: Even though there are people on the campus that doesn't attend school, there isn't crime.

Campus Dining: I would rate the cafe at a C, but the Hardy center receives an A+ plus because of the variety of food choices.

Parking: Parking permits should be apart of the tuition of school and more parking spaces available be available. In order to get to class on time you must arrive thirty minutes in advance to find a parking space.

Campus Dining: It's nothing special. Of course it's not going to be like your parents food or something you can cook for yourself since they have to cook for so many people. They can do a little better with it though. Some of the cafe workers can be very rude at times.

Local Atmosphere: For my first year experience , I expected a little more out of an HBCU. It doesn't necessarily own up to the "awesome" college life, but it was still an good experience. ASU has its minor issues just a every other college from fun, to education. Even so, the ASU faculty and staff are very active in the Alabama State community, and encourage students daily while at the same time enforcing rules and policies. Although Montgomery is a rather small area compared to where I'm from, it is very diverse in many ways. There are many ways to stay active in the community daily. Being that it is small, it's very easy to get to the next destination. Overall the city offered more of a "fun time" than the college, but the college offered more experience than the city.

Diversity: Alabama State University is an HBCU but we have a diverse mix of races on campus

Campus Housing: two of the freshman male dorms here at Alabama State University are rather run down.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I receive aid but when I have questions concerning my financial aid, some of my questions are left unanswered.

Greek Life: greek life could be better if we had more on campus.

Scholarships: I am at my limit for federal student loans and have to seek scholarships and private loans. ASU does not have a lot of scholarships available to me, none this semester. I have had to seek outside of ASU for scholarships.

Majors: I love the experience that Alabama State University's Education Program offers. I enjoy the experience at the different schools while completing my required observation hours. I also love the fact that job fairs are brought to campus.

College Junior

Campus Dining: I live off campus and have never visited the dining hall, therefor I am not familiar with meal plans.

3 College Junior

Diversity: There are many different races on campus but the majority race is African American. The students are friendly and very outgoing. There are many different religious backgrounds and political beliefs represented and also different sexual orientations represented.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: There are too many clubs for young adults that serve alcohol, and not enough social clubs for the under 21 group.

3 College Senior

Parking: The parking has greatly improved. It's SO much better but still needs much improvement. The new structure has also put me closer to my classes.

3 College Senior

Majors: I initially went to school for a dual degree (Math and Engineering). I was not fully informed and could not get my questions answered when it came to the engineering because I had to transfer schools for that. It was apparent that the advisors from both schools were not working together. Had I known what I should have known sooner, I would have graduated by now and avoided some of life's hurdles. I have gone from wanting to be a computer or electrical engineer to just wanting to graduate and be placed in a different category for jobs. I had completed most of my math, so I have returned to school to complete it. Hopefully if I stay on the right path the opportunities will come.

Diversity: Because ASU is a historically black university, most of the students there are African American. There are other races that are students at school, but majority of the population is black.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Alabama has a lot to offer. Even though everything is not walking distance, you will be able to find mostly everything that you need nearby.

4 College Junior

Academics: Its fun they give you opportunities to get experienced in your field by working for the school.

1 College Junior

Weather: The weather is very bipolar in my opinion. in the summer it is very humid but it can rain at any moment you just never know. There is also plenty of tornado warnings.
