Parking: I personally do not drive or park a car on campus.

Guys & Girls: The guys and girls at my school are more focused their studies than just partying at different events. The boys come to class dressed as if they are ready to go to an interview. As for the girls, they always come well prepared and ready to learn. Most of the students at my school are from different states and even from different countries.

Drug Safety: The drug scene at Alabama A&M University is not really big, although it depends on who you hang out with. People usually smoke on campus and that's the most drug scene that I've seen around campus.

Off-Campus Housing: The good thing about off campus housing is, first you can have roommates to share the cost of the apartment. Second, you do not have to worry a out curfew and lastly, you do not have to pay for a meal plan that you rarely use.

Campus Housing: The dorms were not the best of living space, but it was sufficient enough to sleep and study in. There is never any place comparable to home and when you first start college, the dorms versus home is no comparison.

Scholarships: It seems like you have to always wait in a 2 hour line or longer and most times they can not get everything cleared on the first time you go in to make sure that your grants and loans are there.

Athletics: The football team has not been a huge success over the past years, therefore there isn't a lot of team spirit like high school games.

Off-Campus Dining: Mostly it is fast food places, but the mall has a variety of cuisine and the food and prices are not bad for a college student budget.

Academics: Animal Science is a great major. The curriculum load isn't hard. The advisers will work with you on courses to make sure you can handle the number of classes which you selected

Computers: There are computers every where at Alabama A&M University. There are 3 computer labs in the library. There are computer labs in each building in which your class may be held and also in your dormitory in which you reside in. No need for a lap top unless you want it for social usage

Guys & Girls: Its a fashion world at AAMU, since we have our own modeling organizations, the members of that organization dress to impress! Other than those members we have athletes that like to dress comfortable and southern belles whom like to dress classy.

Off-Campus Housing: The off - campus housing selection at Alabama A&M University are in variety. They are built for college students since there are three other Universities that reside in Huntsville. The pros of living off - campus is that you have your own privacy, your own place, it's close to the University and they work with college students with payment arrangements. The safety is outstanding. Each off-campus has secure coded gates that only activate if the residence is entering or house commanded from the residence apartment to allow that specific person to come in. The landlords are friendly in there are plenty of parking available. The cons are that you are off- campus, you may be late for class, and if you do not have a car you have to rely on someone to take you to school.

Off-Campus Dining: Outside restaurants probably save the lives of many of our students. Our cafe closes pretty quickly so around 8 or 9pm, you're hungry again. There's a wide selection of places to go.

Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The A&M experience is excellent! Students who have graduated from A&M often say that there is no place like "The Hill." Sure, students complain about the long financial aid lines, old buildings, and out-of-date resources, but when asked if they would do it all over again and still make A&M their first choice, many have said they would. A&M is truly a "home away from home." It's a great place for students to discover who they are and who they can become. Being a historically black college, A&M has so much history engraved in its roots. After attending A&M, students gain a greater appreciation for their heritage and for those who came before them. Also, out of all the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), A&M has one of the best food science programs. It is one of the only HBCU's that has an accredited program. Most of the students who graduate from A&M with a food science degree are employed and working for major companies like Coca-Cola.

A&M is a great school to attend. Lifelong friendships and connections are made on this campus. Students at A&M are more than classmates—they're family. They encourage and support each other throughout their academic journey.
