4 College Freshman

Computers: You have to download some things on the computer in order to do your work.

Campus Housing: the traditional dorms are not the best but you make the best of it. the cafe food is ok, we have alot of social events brought by differnt organizations on campus... this is a good way to meet new people and socialize, the financial aid process at the begining of the semester can be hectic and employees of the school can give you the run around just to find out information. Overall it is an ok school.

3 College Senior

Academics: my major is psychology and the department is a close knit family with great proffesors who are willing to help you to succeed to the next level in your life.

Transportation: the buses on campus are convient for geting you to class, and there is a city bus stop right in front of the school if you want to go other places like to shop.

3 College Senior

Academics: There are a few good teachers here that want to see you succeed and most just there because its a job and give you the run arounds when you are trying to find out information.

Weather: the weather is average here. They cancel classes only if the weather is very severe.

3 College Freshman

Majors: The process is not easy. It takes a lot of mental and physical work. I didnt have to do anything special with the application . The challenge was to figure out if I would learn to love my field of study or is this for me. The grade point average is the biggest criteria in my eyes.

5 College Senior

Facilities: The biggest attribute to AAMU is the career development services... They are there to help you prepare for post graduation.

Facilities: Alabama A & M has all of the following, and is constantly growing

Diversity: Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University Is diverse, however the university is predominantly black.

Weather: coming from chicago it is a difference. it stays warmer and gets hotter than it would there. it's pretty humid a lot of the time. but it gets no where as cold as chicago. overall the weather isn't really that bad

Campus Dining: when i first got to A&M i was overwhelmed with the variety of food, however it does get a little repetitive and not many restaurants offer student discounts. But when you need to go to a dining hall to eat you can't really complain because the food is good anyways

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are lots of restaurants off campus however you definitely need a car because it's not in walking distance. there is a mcdonalds, bojangles and gas stations in walking distance though

Guys & Girls: There are alot of intresting people at A&M. There are so many different styles that come together on campus. Ofcourse every guy here isnt great but you'll definetly find someone you will have fun with.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Alabama's A&M west campus cafeteria is pretty good. The only thing about it is alot of people go around the same time so the lines can get pretty long.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I have never felf threatened or unsafe on this campus. On Alabama A&M's campus i never witnessed anything dangerous or felt that i was in any danger.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: The Process of getting into my music major was simple, in the end you just have classes to attend already in your first year that pertains to your major. An audition is often times necessary for certain groups or clubs your recommended to join. Most importantly just be determined through it all.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: As a music major I am very happy with my program. If i had to choose again i believe I would do it again because its something I love. In the near future i plan on opening schools for gifted and talented students interested in music, starting in my home town then hopefully expanding. My Concerns are very seldom.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: As an Music major, I could work as a intern at a local Studio or radio station. Most interns are unpaid but its a great opportunity to meet local artist and radio personnel. Responsibilities might range from leaning up, to getting a cup of coffee.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Everywhere you look you'll see a police car. They also have emergency beacons all around campus.

Campus Housing: I thought this was supposed to be a college not a boarding school. Of all the college that i visited, this is the only one that is very strict about visitation.

Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The A&M experience is excellent! Students who have graduated from A&M often say that there is no place like "The Hill." Sure, students complain about the long financial aid lines, old buildings, and out-of-date resources, but when asked if they would do it all over again and still make A&M their first choice, many have said they would. A&M is truly a "home away from home." It's a great place for students to discover who they are and who they can become. Being a historically black college, A&M has so much history engraved in its roots. After attending A&M, students gain a greater appreciation for their heritage and for those who came before them. Also, out of all the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), A&M has one of the best food science programs. It is one of the only HBCU's that has an accredited program. Most of the students who graduate from A&M with a food science degree are employed and working for major companies like Coca-Cola.

A&M is a great school to attend. Lifelong friendships and connections are made on this campus. Students at A&M are more than classmates—they're family. They encourage and support each other throughout their academic journey.
