Campus Dining: the food to me is very very good especially during the first semester they have alot of varieties to choose from. since the campus is in the south they have very good southern food i enjoy the food very much.

Guys & Girls: Looking Tochill – At A&M you find sorts of people.
The boys are looking to for somebody to chill. They dress all different types of ways:preppy, thug and churches. The girl there are very out going. They all have there on style. They very friendly. Even if you don't nobody it's not that hard to meet people.

Parking: there are alot of cars getting towed because of parking mishaps and people in faculty spaces.

Campus Housing: living on campus is very exciting for the simple fact that everyone is getting to know each other and having fun especially your first year. i stayed in thigpen hall and it was very up kept and fun. to me thomas hall is the less kept dorm. palmer hall has never had air conditioning and hasn't had hot water for at least four weeks. the social atmosphere is very fun because all of the freshman's are out and about and having a great time.

Facilities: Alabama a & m university is overall an okay campus, the social scene is very active and fun at times, there's alot of activities for us throughout the year.most of the buildings are somewhat abandoned and very rundown its needs alot of maintenance. but our wellness center is very unique because it is new and has alot of different stations for college kids to stay fit and healthy. plus it has a bowling area, a swimming pool a free massage table on certain days and much more. campus life is for the most part is very decent.

Majors: I'm a Telecom Major/Graphic Design Minor. The school provides cameras and editing computers to help with any personal projects. They believe you learn better with your own projects than than what is assigned and they are willing to help you step by step. The best projects come from those who spend their spare time practicing editing and filming in the lab.

Overall Experience: Nothing Is Perfect – Although my school has its flaws, ultimaltely I have met some great people and received some awesome opputunities and experiences. College is a give and take experience you have to seek more in order to gain it.

4 College Junior

Transportation: Runs frequently and at convenient stops the bus drivers are nice

3 College Senior

Weather: the weather is constantly changing. When it gets cold, it is very windy and too cold to walk to classes.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Our campus police are always there and always available. they usually try to get to work done and stop the violence.

5 College Senior

Transportation: Buses on A&M are great to have since students cannot drive to the different buildings. We have to park in designated parking spaces and walk are ride buses to the buildings

Weather: It rains frequently. We sometimes have warnings for tornadoes. The weather changes drastically, in the middle of the summer it can be 50 degrees and 90 degree in the middle of the winter. Snow hits the ground in some days of the winter but its rarely enough to cancel classes or even enjoy.

Health & Safety: Mostly Safe – I have rarely felt unsafe on the campus of Alabama A & M University.Crimes rarely happen on campus, but campus police are always in eye sight just in case something unsafe is to transpire. Students are also always aware of anything or anyone that has been seen on campus that poses a threat to the safe environment.

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Are Reasonable – You pay for what you get off campus. If you are looking to pay little to nothing for living expenses you will have a low quality living establishment. If you are willing to pay the price to live the high life you will definitely have an expensive mortgage but it will be worth the money.

3 College Freshman

Computers: Frequently Used – Computers on campus are not used by students as often as they should be. They are often only used when big exams and essays are approaching the deadline. It is also easy to have your own computer and access the internet as well as printers on campus.

Overall Experience: overall is my alma mater. The unique personal professor are everything to me. Plus they have a nice campus. Althought is not NYU o harvard. The couser work is not to mucho nor to little

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: We Are Still Treated as Adults – there are punishments to bad choices which are fines but we are still treated as adults i feel that my school could be more strict on people who re offend

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I Feel Completely Safe – when it comes to safety on campus my school has emergency towers where if your in trouble you press a button and it goes directly to campus police. which makes me feel a lot safer. all in all my school is pretty safe because we run as a little community. the only thing that frightens me are the skunks that are on campus

3 College Freshman

Computers: The Computer Labs Could Be Open Longer Meaning Later at Night – the computer labs are open until 10:00 o'clock maybe i think that as college students we stay up way later in the night and that the computer labs need to be open later at night. for all of the night owls on campus

Majors: I've Had No Internships – This is my second semester at this University.I do plan to possibility participate in some internships if available. I don't know anything about internships so all information is appreciated. My major is physics and my previous occupations include; US Army Electronic Missile Technician, Plumber, Forklift Operator, Propreitor of Auto Repair Shop

Drug Safety: If you frequent those circles it is there. You have to seek for those underground exposures. If come to learn and that is your focus you will not be bothered or confronted by it.

Off-Campus Dining: You'll Need a Car – There's plenty of fast food around(taco bell,2 mcdonalds, chicken places, arbys zaxbys, wendys, sonic, and more), but only one dine in(Applebees) thats close. All of these are within 5 miles form school but none are walking distance. Mama Annies is a close by soul food place ( walking distance too!). Plates usually run around 6-8 dollars

Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The A&M experience is excellent! Students who have graduated from A&M often say that there is no place like "The Hill." Sure, students complain about the long financial aid lines, old buildings, and out-of-date resources, but when asked if they would do it all over again and still make A&M their first choice, many have said they would. A&M is truly a "home away from home." It's a great place for students to discover who they are and who they can become. Being a historically black college, A&M has so much history engraved in its roots. After attending A&M, students gain a greater appreciation for their heritage and for those who came before them. Also, out of all the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), A&M has one of the best food science programs. It is one of the only HBCU's that has an accredited program. Most of the students who graduate from A&M with a food science degree are employed and working for major companies like Coca-Cola.

A&M is a great school to attend. Lifelong friendships and connections are made on this campus. Students at A&M are more than classmates—they're family. They encourage and support each other throughout their academic journey.
