Majors: Alabama A & M University biology program is an challanging department and an helping enviroment. The teachers help assist you in whatever area you do not understand and also offers more assistance after class. They have a set up track just for you and your advisor to dicuss and you follow that path throughout all four years. Is a learning enviroment where you also interact with other students and the teacher also teaches different learning styles so all students who may have a different way of learning fully understands. I have enjoyed the biology department for two years and am looking for to two more years of an awesome experience.

Diversity: Alot of Black Students – their are alot of African Americans at Alabama a&m and their percentage of white people are very small in the school and the whole student body is black but then again this is a hbcu

2 College Sophomore

Athletics: Sports Are Average – varsity sports at Alabama a&m are ok not very good but ok the campus treats the students ok but im not to much interested in the school im more interested in Georgia state and see how their facilities are and im more interested in their football program is

Majors: We have many majors to choose from on campus ... You named you will find it here or it is in development.

Transportation: We have buses running on campus but you have to get their schedule down pact. Make really good friends because sometimes they might give you a ride. Until you can either purchase yourself by auction or through dealership.

Guys & Girls: Average People – The girls on this campus are somewhat beautiful. With me being a guy of course A&M got em hahaha. It's cool going to college because you meet people from different states. We do have our grenades though

Academics: It's Great – A&M have a great academic students. I was on the Dean's List myself and I went to the honors program and just about half of the school was in there as well. A&M have some professors that are just horrible but you will always have your bad apples in the bunch. They have good professors as well as the bad that will bend over backwards for you. If you need help in class or a letter of recommendation they will help you.

Academics: Helpful but Not by Much – Depending on your major, Alabama A&M professors are helpful. If you major in social work, or agricultural science stuff A&M is the place. My major is communications and we just have professors that just talk during the whole duration of class than just teaching and getting hands-on experience in my field. If you're failing a class, teachers will help you by giving make-up test in case you missed the first one.

Greek Life: It OK – I'm not Greek but it's not so bad. They have there good times on campus hosting different events on campus and off. I would have became a greek but I'm scared that it might interfere with my grades which I don't want to happen. I just wish it was kind of better on this campus. The only thing they have to show for on this campus is there greek stones. We don't have greek houses on the campus of Alabama A&M.

Scholarships: The School Process of Financial Has to Get Better – I received my financial aid on time but the process is always hectic every year. The financial advisers always be in the library whereas almost every student in the school be also to try and fix there financial aid. It's always a long list to sign. Once your name is on the list, you have to play the waiting game in a conference room, then move to the computer lab where you play musical chairs, until you're next in line to see a adviser. I miss my first class because of the long list in financial aid. I received my financial aid but some how, I never received my pell grant. I'm in search of a scholarship that will help me battle these student loans.

Facilities: Good Wellness Center, Library, Traditions – There is a very nice relatively new wellness center. The library is nice and there are some cool events and traditions on occassion.

Weather: There can be some severe storms at times and short periods of extreme cold or heat.

Campus Strictness: As Far as I Know – I don't live on campus, so that limits some of my experience. It seems fairly average with strictness.

Health & Safety: There Have Been Some Crime Issues – I do not live on campus, so I don't really feel that I can comment much on this. I know that I find the campus a bit too dark at night.

Parking: The campus is mostly gated and many classes are up a very steep hill. There are buses, but it is difficult to get to class on time using them if you have classes back to back. Parking can be scarce and tickets or towing is common. It has gotten a little better since more enforcement of residents not parking in commuter areas.

Weather: For the most part, weather affects the campus a lot, but not how you think. When it rains, people are still out moving about [if they have to], mostly with an umbrella. When it's summer and really hot, people are still going here and there to get things done. When it's fall and spring, where there is warm or cool weather, then even more people will be outside. When it is winter, quite a lot of people are still outside, but are wearing warmer clothes. It mostly depends on the season.

Parking: Well, me personally, I don't have a vehicle to park....but from the looks of the student parking lots and the faculty parking lots, I would say that the student parking lots are quite spacious, while faculty parking lots are spacious in some areas and small in others.

Computers: Computer Labs Review – The computers on campus are great! Of course they too could be improved, but for now they are great. The accessibility of the computers is great as well, mostly because not too many students or people are using them constantly. And there isn't just one location, there are multiple locations: mainly in the library and in a few other buildings.

Campus Dining: Cafeteria Food Review – The food served during breakfast, lunch, and dinner are good, at least to me anyways. Although it's true that majority of the year you see the same things during the same mealtimes, but the food is overall good. Of course, if go to another student randomly and ask about the dining, 8 out of 10 they will tell how bad or boring the food is, or how the service isn't too good, or anything they could think of. Though the cafeteria workers always aren't uplifted as they should, they're better than how they could be [after dealing with most students]. But yes, overall, the campus dining experience is great for me each time!

Facilities: Student Life Review – Student life here at Alabama A&M, can be viewed differently by different students, though most will complain about everything from the dorms to the food to the service to the classes. But I on the other hand, I very much appreciate how everything is at the moment. However, along with that, I want to be apart of those that not only want to see things better than how they already are, but also that will lend a hand to make that happen. Cleaner facilities, more green spaces, better working environments, more positive atmospheres, and better "customer service".

4 College Junior

Facilities: The facilities are great, and I'm thankful that they are operational and there for students' use. There may be slight maintenance issues or some "not-too-friendly" personnel, but overall they are well-kept

Drug Safety: The drug scene at Alabama A & M University is not really big, although it depends on who you hang out with. If people are doing drugs, they're usually just smoking. Drinking is a much more popular activity.

Guys & Girls: Girls Are Hot – You'll find all sorts of guys at Auburn: city boys, ravers, rednecks, and lots of good ol' country boys, too. The girls are pretty much just Southern belles. They are incredibly hot, for the most part. If you aren't from around here, it'll take a little while to get used to the accent.

Scholarships: Couldve Been Better – I received a decent amount of financial aid, but it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. A couple of my forms got lost in the shuffle, so I had to stay on top of things. I suggest making regular in-person appointments with your financial aid officer to make sure things are going smoothly

Athletics: It Is GREAT! I LOVE EVERYTHING THE SCHOOL PROVIDES THAT COMES WITH ALL SPORTS.

Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

The A&M experience is excellent! Students who have graduated from A&M often say that there is no place like "The Hill." Sure, students complain about the long financial aid lines, old buildings, and out-of-date resources, but when asked if they would do it all over again and still make A&M their first choice, many have said they would. A&M is truly a "home away from home." It's a great place for students to discover who they are and who they can become. Being a historically black college, A&M has so much history engraved in its roots. After attending A&M, students gain a greater appreciation for their heritage and for those who came before them. Also, out of all the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), A&M has one of the best food science programs. It is one of the only HBCU's that has an accredited program. Most of the students who graduate from A&M with a food science degree are employed and working for major companies like Coca-Cola.

A&M is a great school to attend. Lifelong friendships and connections are made on this campus. Students at A&M are more than classmates—they're family. They encourage and support each other throughout their academic journey.
