4 College Freshman

Student Body: There are a very diverse student body. From many different races, ages, and religions. The majority of the students seem hard working, show up to class, and put forth effort to do well.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I have not had any issues with the computer network at Aims. There are several computers and printers that the students have access to. There is also an account you have so that you can pay for your printing if you need copies or to print anything on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The staff at Aims makes the school. The entire staff is so helpfull and welcoming. The instructors and wonderful and will work with you if you need anything.

Online Courses: I did not know what to exoect when I enrolled in this math class. It is a mix of online and class lecture on campus. We do not use a traditional math book,we use an online site for all homework and quizzes. The course has been great and exactly what I need. The instructor is great and helps whenever needed.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: It felt at first like I was back in High School but that was general studies, so I was bunched in with people who really didn't have the same interests as I did, but further in I got a lot more in tune with the classes as we were all working towards the same thing.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Several Ethnicity and economic wealth, all of us are there for school and most people know that and get along with each other. It really boosts morale when every one in a class is working on the same thing and not just forced to go to school. With Ethnicity, there is plenty of religious groups. Everyone has a group and every one is accepted.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I wish that ALL the instructors would be able to respond to their emails. I have email a few instructors and they seem to never email back. I do understand that I am not their only student and that my class is not their only class. Our college has been under renovation this past semester. But I do think that they should respond back in a timely manner.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: A Bridge to My Degree – At this moment, I am completing all my prerequisites for the Veterinarian Technician program. I have to transfer to another college to get my degree. It has been a little challenging since I have learning disabilities. I have been able to have note takers. I have been allowed to record my classes with the permission from the instructors. I have been able to get help with my courses when needed. I cannot wait until I have my degree so that I can start on my career!

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Forms I Got in the Mail – i called the campus to ask about a form i got in the mail and they really just stayed quiet and didnt really help until i called the main office and helped me

College Sophomore

Student Body: I attend school online so I dont really interact with the student body much.

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am using any and all financial aide for school, but its ridiculous our funds mandatorily go on a Discover card instead of allowing direct deposit to a bank account. Plus I have to do some things every semester I should only have to do once a year...such as promissary notes.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Aims is helping me reach my goals in life, which is all I really need in a college at this point. Some of the professors are not willing to work with student or help in any way but at least completing the class gets me credit for it.

5 College Junior

Career Services: I haven't used them, but they are a good thing I heard

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: My Accounting instructor Gina Jones, just enhanced my love for accounting and the staff is very enthusiastic about the course material.

College Senior

Career Services: Aims is a two year school and does not have a graduates program.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The computer speed is average at best but it gets more points as its has all of the best software a student could possibly need as well as very good network speed.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Excellents Staff and Facilities – Aims CC has some of the best facilities a Community College has to offer, and its staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help out.

4 College Senior

Student Body: Melting Pot – Because Aims is a Community College, it does not have the typical student body of a four year school. Because of this, it does have an extremely blended group of people, ranging from the young to older, black, white, Asian, Mexican, able bodied as well as handicapped. All of which have an equal opportunity to better themselves through furthering their education, and career goals.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Student Instructor Program – The Student Instructor or SI Program is not only unique to me but is incredibly helpful. The program allows students to get together with a former student who excelled in the course, who help u study and prepare you for the test.

4 College Junior

Student Body: Lots of Older Students – The student body has a large over 30 population, and they work hard and really try to succeed. The students are very friendly and always seem willing to offer a helping hand.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Great Starting Point – Aims is a great place to start your college career. It gives you the tools needed and will inspire you to continue your education at a 4 year college. Instructors are fantastic and care about the students and want to see them succeed.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: I dont know if other schools have this option but they have a program called "work study" where the school actually pays to work around the classes.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Worth It? I believe its well worth the tuition. they have excellent teachers that go above and beyond to help you be successful

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Day and Night Classes Were a Big Help. Because of my busy work schedule Aims offers different class times to make getting the classes I needed easier. Plus my teachers were very helpful if I had to miss a class because of work. I also like the fact that I had e-mail access to my advisors and teachers.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: I really like the small class rooms. The teachers have more time to give a student help and are very approachable. I am an older student and my teachers were very understanding and helpful with all my questions.
