Campus Resources: Good use or resources although resources are limited at times.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Headache Free – I was amazed at how much simpler Aims made receiving financial aid.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Diverse social medium. Gym with open hours. Lots of clubs. Cafeteria, bistro, and coffee joints.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Wonderful other than the occasional outages. However, they always inform everyone and try to remedy the situation ASAP.

College Senior

Career Services: This question is not applicable to me because I have not graduated yet. However, I have heard that they offer career services, resume help, etc for all current and former students, so I'm sure that helps.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: They have a gym, cafeteria, bistro, and coffee joints. It's a good place to hang out between classes and they also have plenty of study areas, too. The only complain I have is that it can be a little hard to navigate at times, especially if you're new to the school or area on campus.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The only complaint I have for my school is that they don't have information readily available or easily found about deadlines. You have to go on and search the website or go in person to talk to the financial aid department. Also, for on-going scholarships that require re-applying, they don't offer any reminders of when you need to have them filled back in.

Student Body: My school consists of mostly working students with part time and full time jobs. They are here primarily to get better jobs or a different career, not much socializing takes place outside of classes.
I am impressed with the diversity and friendliness of most students.

Campus Resources: The library has a loan for personal computers. The learning center always has someone you can ask for help. Tutoring center makes every effort to help with writing papers, English, Math and Sciences. My experience has been the networks are very up to date with little down time

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Very comfortable campus. Resources are posted everywhere so students have the knowledge where and when.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am local student and love the tuition cost compared to all other community colleges or Universities. I have received several scholarships through Aims Foundation Scholarships. Have to remember to apply for them

College Sophomore

Career Services: Have not graduated yet to use the Post Grad services

College Junior

Career Services: I cannot speak about this question because I have not moved on to the post grad level.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have had an excellent experience with aims thus far. From enrolling to financial aid, advising, scheduling I have been nothing but pleased with my experience. I would recommend Aims to any student wanting to get started on a new career path. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and they care how your day is going. The instructors are wonderful and are very willing to help and they do a great job of making themselves available to you. Aims is an accredited college so credits transfer easily when you make your move to your bachelors.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Every semester since I started has been like pulling teeth with these people. It gets so frustrating, and when you try to talk to them about your concerns it feels like you are getting nothing but the run around syndrome. Very frustrating.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: There is alot of resources for being a community college. The athletic cneter is free for just going to school. The library could have more variety but that is what computers are for now.I haven't noticed much campus activity going around. There is even a bistro and coffee shop.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Everything is really easy to access and it is free. There are never any problems with the wireless access and you have an automatic $5 card to print when you start.

Academic Experience: I enrolled in Aims Community College in November 2012 into the Professional Pilot Program. There was a tremendous lack of information through out my first semester from almost every staff member I dealt with and I was constantly in reaction mode. I cannot and will not list every incident of incompetency. The VA has recently suspended the flight program and helicopter program because of a failure to do paperwork correctly, which would explain why I had the problems getting good information. If I knew what I know know when I enrolled I would have looked for another school. As far as academic subject matter I do not know how knowledgeable the professors are, I did end my semester with straight A's. At the end of summer semester I am transferring to what I hope will be a better choice for communication of requirements. As far as I am concerned school should not put people into reaction mode via a lack of knowledge of the requirements and expectations of a potential career choice. It seemed like they were interested in money without thinking through the aviation courses; what is expected and when its expected of the students.

Tuition & Financial Aid: It is fairly easy to get ahold of financial aid. They offer scholarships that are easy access to get and have it on the school website for you to see and has the deadlines next to the scholarships. Aims is less expensive than other Universities because it is a community college but the price is still quite a lot of money for the eduacation that I am receiving to be honest. I do appreciate the scholarships I have received.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am a undergraduate nursing student and I understand there are so many students in pursuit of the nursing career as well but the work just to get in to the program is beyond stressful. You aren't even in the program yet and by the time you get there you are basically two years in. It is just based on grades and nothing else. You have to be on top of things constantly and not fall behind if you are truly interested. Some nursing students don't even have the compassion for the career but they pass because of the grades. It is overwhelming but if you are intersted you will stick to your goal.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: I like that most of the people are like me. People who are working towards a degree while working or managing a family. They are all very friendly and sharing the same interests while going to schools helps to make me feel welcomed.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: they allow you to sign up for classes easily on your own on line

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: the fire science program is very good because they have real professionals teach the classes.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Sometimes its hard to her the classes you want when you want

4 College Junior

Student Body: The campus has a lot of diversity. e all come from different places in llife; and many different ages. We are all there for the same reason and we help each other succeed. I would recommend Aims.
