5 College Freshman

Online Courses: Never Taken One – I have never taken an online class but it does seem more easily to handle.

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Take Advantage – The first year I got it free because of a scholarship. The financial aid office provides all the questions we have. The school is well know for their financial aid opportunities and thats something I take advantage of.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Choose School – I choose this school because of how flexible the class schedules are, I just wish I didn't have to drive so far to attend school.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: They are very understanding and will work with you there really is great staff there

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I LIKE MY SCHOOL – I like my school, there is not any sports to have pride in like the universitys around here but Aims is giving me a good education. However its a thirty mile drive for me five days a week and with gas rising its putting a strain on my budget.

3 College Freshman

Career Services: The Career Center Is Fantastic and Alumni Network Is up. the career center is a great big building full of information. Alumni network is running smoothly with people being friendly.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: the curriculum feeds me the knowledge i need for my career, the work load it pretty heavy but no to bad, and the facilities are nice.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Its definitely not a university but for a community college there is a lot it has to offer. the campus life is not so great due to people of all ages being everywhere, the campus and buildings are new and very nice.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: "This Is Your Class" – The teachers will always tell you that the class is about you, you're paying for it, they'd like you to learn the best way you do. The only hassles really, is the homework. But hey, every college student complains about having work to take home now and again. As for transferring credits, I set up appointments with my advisor to choose classes and make sure that they are transferable. I want an easy transition into a university when I do go.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: They have the computer lab or the ARC (which I use most whether I have my laptop or not). Although the Ft. Lupton campus is the smallest of the campuses, they still make it easy for you to borrow text books, access the computers and scanners; as well as the copiers. They are pretty well staffed also, so the student to staff ratio is reasonable.

4 Recent Alumnus

Student Body: Part Time Workers – Most of my students are part time workers. The other part they attend college. They are normally pretty easy going and willing to make a conversation with the classmates.

Overall Experience: I Am Very Happy With My Choice – I love Aims Community College. I wouldn't go to a different college right now because they have everything that I am looking for. I do not attend any college actitives so I don't have a favorite experience but I will soon. Aims is always helping the students out and always trying to get us through college.

Online Courses: I Have Not Taken Online Classes – I am nervous about taking online courses although the school offers many. I love the interaction of the other students. I have made so many new friends, young and old.

Academic Experience: The Instructors Care – All my teachers are dedicated to each students success. If you have questions, they are available to help.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Look for Scholarships – Aims' tuition is reasonable and well worth the cost. Financial aid advisers are very helpful. Contact the financial aid office with any questions as they are there to help.

4 College Junior

Career Services: Career Center Is Helpfull – They are very helpfull in many ways. They keep posted lists of possible jobs that are available for you. They also send you to the right places to get hands on experence in the field you are looking to get in to.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The Needs of the Students Are Met – The needs of the students are met. because when you have questions and problems you can ask your advisor for help. At which point he or she will guide you to the right person that can help you. If he or she can't answer the question.
We have a great tutoring service on sight and great teachers that ae willing to take the time to help.

2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Textbook Usage – I really would wish that if the instructors ask for us to buy a textbook that it is really going to be used or that thier lectures are going to be at least somewhat from the book and utilize it. Ihas happened to me that not all time the text books are really used because the instructor will not go allong with the book.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I think they have a good process and have never had problems with it, although I know others who have. They are usually quick about getting things done and will let you know what is left and what extra you have to pay. The process can sometimes be long, but as long as you stay on top of things and get everything turned in when you need to there should be minimal problems.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: My overall experience at Aims has been great. The teachers are always helpful and some are even willing to go out of there way to help you. They are very understanding and as long as you talk to them they will work with you for class notes, assignments, and content of what's going on. You learn a lot more compared to bigger universities because there are smaller classroom sizes and you have access to the teacher a lot more. I would choose this school again if I had to do it over again because they have classes that will work aroung scheluales, and being a perent this is very important.

5 College Senior

Student Body: The variation of type of students at aims is wide. You can find teenage parents, single parents, high school dropouts, high school graduates, and even students that go to UNC. The few people that I have been able to meet are friendly and are glad to be social. I even set up a carpool with two of my classmates.

Campus Resources: The computer network at Aims CC isn't the best but it isn't the worst because navigating it is a little difficult. Sometimes I have to ask for help to find information on the network but once I've seen it is simple to repeat. Another thing is when I turn in assignment it takes more than fifteen minutes to upload, but it gets the job done.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Classes are flexible at Aims CC. Currently I go to school in the morning but if I wanted to I could have chosen an afternoon or night schedule. Another reason I know classes are flexible at Aims is because of other students. I don't have job but I know other students that do and they say it's really easy coming to class and maintaining a job.

5 College Senior

Online Courses: Hybrid Course – I don't take any online courses but I take classes that are considered hybrid courses. These courses are neat because I get the class and online experience. In class I get discussions and the teacher answers questions I have. The online half of the class is neat because it allows me to take test at home when I have the time and turn in assignment in the middle of night.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: I was told to apply for money. I took the opportunity and applied. Through the application process i stumbled upon this site.
