Campus Resources: Unique Acedemics – The school staff is very helpful in guiding students to be where they need to be. There is on campus tutoring and programs to help students acheive their academic goals.

Campus Resources: They Focus on Each Student. I love my school. Our classes are small and we each get an opportunity to get to know our teachers and learn on a one by one basis. We get the opportunities such as one on one tutuoring and there are workshops all throughout the year for students needing help with Writing. The campus is united and dedicated to reaching each student. We have a school news letter that is posted in every bathroom stall, so not one person misses it. Different organizations around school create workshops, presentations, and discusions that can teach, inform, and involve every kind of student. Our school is full of diversity, we ge tthe chance to interact with people of every race, ethnicity, age, generation, and level of intellect.

Student Body: Older Student – I was told that aims had a larger number of older students enrolled. so I fit perfectly.

Academic Experience: Rad. Tech. I have not yet started at aims. However, for me it was great. the field I wished to study was offered at aims.

Campus Resources: My Enrollment Process – I am a 48 yr. old male. I have never been to college before. I had a wonderful career in high end retail management. I had a rare disease that caused me to go on disabilty for the past three yrs.after several operations, I now feel good enough to find and start a new career. as you may have guessed, I was very nervous about the college enrollment process. As I entered Aims community college, there was a young gentleman by the name of Eric. He had a very friendly personality. He made me feel very comfortable, and at ease. I had gone to aims to ask questions, but the process was so easy and so relaxed. I was registered for college in an hours time. I was given a study sheet for the placement test to take home. The next day as i entered the building, Eric met me at the door. I was very nervous. as to my surprise I did very well on the test. I do believe with out the ease and comfort I felt at aims, I would not have done as well as I did on the test. I am so happy with my desicion to enroll at Aims. I will never look back, Thank you Aims, Darold Liestman

Career Services: The career center has always been very helpful to me. I needed to switch majors and they helped in finding the corect major.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The computer lab is open a majority of the time all you need is your username and password. There is no limit on the amount of time you are on the computer. It is very easy to print the things you need for a VERY low price. Also, the school gives you five dollars on your card to start with!

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Aims Community College stands out because it is very involved with everything from helping with supplies to educating suicidal prevention and more. They also have great tutoring opportunities and the teachers make it very easy to go to them for help.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The resources are very good the library is easy to navigate and the learning commons computer area is open very late which is extremely helpful if you do not have a printer or word program.

Overall Experience: The schools teachers are great and very knowledgeable and dedicated to their subjects. My favorite experience was when I was pregnant with my first daughter and was taking CNA certification course, the way everyone worked with me but did not treat me differently because I was pregnant. I would choose this school again because of the way it is ran by the teachers and the only reason I would not is the long commute to get there from my house.

4 College Senior

Career Services: I've not tried the career services yet but have heard great things about them.

4 College Senior

Student Body: We have a lot of older students that are going to college to swap careers due to the current economy.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: The students and faculty give the college the feel of a small community. The faculty are easy to talk to and want you to succeed.

Academic Experience: The health care major at Aims Community College is not very good, but I expected that. My classes are only my general classes that I have to take. Medical classes are limited at Aims. My general classes are really good though. The workload is usually reasonable with reading and writing a research paper.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Computer Resources – Computer resources were readily available for students. The school will give a small balance for printing, this was good because the balance would add up after a couple of semesters if you did not print much in a semester.

2 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The professors were either good or not. I had a professor that cared alot about me and what i actually understood, he was nice and always asked if i was understanding what he was teaching. I had a science teacher who jumped around alot and would not give any time to ask questions i would never take her course again.

1 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: My family situations were not considerd when receiving my financial aid. I only recieved subsidized loans and nothing more. I began paying for my education month by month with my own pocket money while working a job at an assisted living facility. I turned down the loans because i was only offered unsubsidized loans.

College Senior

Career Services: Community College – Aims community college doesn't have post-grad as far as I know.

4 College Freshman

Student Body: Most Full Time Students – This school has few clubs and one that I am enrolled in is LULAC. For the main part, not many studets seem to be enrolled in clubs.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: Never Taken One – I have never taken an online class but it does seem more easily to handle.
