College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Medical Office Assistant – This is my first semester and I have yet to take any classes dirctly related to my major.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Starting Late – I decided to start college about two months before classes actually started. I found that things went smoothly. I was able to recieve the financal aid in a timely manner. I didn't qualify for all of my tuition to be paid fpr but what I didn recieve helped out a lot. Iam very pleased with the financial ad office and how helpful they were. I am finishing up my first semester and I am pleased with my classes and my teachers

3 College Freshman

Career Services: The career services are good however the advisors are not good at answering questions that are outside of the school

Academic Flexibility: First Your in School EVER – This was my first years in school ever since I was home schooled. I am very satisified with how the teachers will take the time to try and help any way that they can.the curriculum is good but it is frusterating trying to find out what is expected

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Everyone at this college is very accepting to whoever it is. Race and age doesnt matter. Everyone seems to be very friendly and happy to help anyone. Most have families and know how others feel.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There are several different academics here at Aims Community College. I feel the classes are perfect size, the work is a challenge but not to the point where students arent capable of succeeding. Jon shiltz is my math instructor and he is the ideal instructor because of his teaching style. He makes sure all the student are caught up and understand.

Online Courses: Manage Your Time – I took one online class and it was fine. I prefer face to face classes because there is a lot more work with online classes because they have to account for the seat time. You do need to manage your time and keep track of the due dates for tests and discussion.

Overall Experience: Good C.C. Aims is a very good community college with most of the professors being excellent. Had one that was below average, the rest above average. Best school in Greeley to get general education classes.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am getting through pre reqs for the nursing program. Classes are small, instructors are helpful

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Just Fine – I am happy with my experience at Aims. The advising could use some work, as I was led a stray a couple times.

4 College Student

Overall Experience: My experience overall throughout attending Aims has been so rewarding. I was nervous at first attending college, but after all I have received so much support and encouragement to do my best. I am really so grateful for the education that is benefiting my future to as well benefit others in life too.

Academic Flexibility: Awesome College – I get full attention in my needs. The staff helps me enormously every time I need them and I feel the college cares about my advancement in life. I love Aims.

Student Body: The great thing about AIMS (and I'm a little biased) is that it has a great family student population. Meaning, a lot of the student body has a family. It's great as a mother to come to a school where not only do your classmates have a better understanding of what it's like to go to school and be a parent, but your teachers do as well.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Need Money? Aims Community College offers a lot of very good classes for very good money. You can get a variety of classes at this institution. They have everything from the pre requisits to the college level (and credited) classes. The tutition is half that of a university and I feel you still receive a quality education.

The financial office is very informative...in person. As you can imagine with all the rules, laws, and red tape it is hard to get all the questions you have answered over the phone, but if you are willing to spend maybe a few much needed minutes in line you will have no issues at this college.

When it comes to financial aid the best thing you can do is be dilligent in your search for it. Make sure that you are filling out your FASFA in plenty, if not more, time. Make sure that you are checking the website for scholarship opportunities, and even outside of the college! You never know what's out there!

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I chose the school because of location and variety of classes it has to offer.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: My school has a wide variety of student that range from just out of high school to those who are almost ready to retire and very diverse in ethnicity. Most of the students I have met are very friendly and are interested in study groups and helping each other. Most are very serious about their studies and education.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: The Director Is Great – The CTI Program director is fantastic - he's an honest and good man. Unfortunately he is not a trained teacher and very few of his staff are. What they lack in professionalism, he makes up for in person ability.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The Collegiate Training Initiative program (FAA) at Aims is a joke. I hope that there are more critical tests and exams in my future to earn the FAA employment that I seek. Because if there are not, I don't want to end up working side by side with some of the worst students and lackluster people I've ever met. I hope these types are weeded out soon, because at the moment this program is so easy a monkey could do it.

2 College Junior

Student Body: I can't speak to the student body as a whole. As an aviation student we are isolated with each other and see only each other throughout the day. There is maybe 5% non-rich-white-kids in the program.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Academic Experience – I'm coming for a very specific degree program and this particular school delivers the courses I need in a very convienent, fast-track program and therefore I would chose the program all over again in a second. But not all teachers are on the top of their game, and grading is inconsistent. If the teachers are sharp in their field, they tend to be poor at teaching and vice versa.

1 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: With the exception of a few individuals, Financial Aid counselors do not return emails, have a rude demeanor, and you have to wait in line upwards of an hour to hear that you have to come back over and over again. Very disorganized.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Fire Science Computer Suck – The computers in some of the buildings suck. However, the main computer lab is an awesome place to get homework done. The campus is easy to get around, but parking is often difficult to find near the campus.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Community Collegeitus – I feel like the teachers are not well prepared for the class that they are teaching. Some of the teachers act like they enjoy being there, while other teachers could care less. It is a toss up between good and bad teachers. Overall, the class sizes are great and the tuition is afforable.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Facilities Are Pretty Good – When not in class the College Center or the gym is where a lot of people go to till there next class starts. Nice facilities are very nice and people friendly.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: Great Learning Experience – Teachers take the extra time to get to know you on a personal level. They make sure that you pass your classes and that you understand everything. My instructors have made school fun once again
