Campus Resources: Network Reliabililty – Most of the times the networking systems would go down. This is the part that frustrated me. when I need to finish up homework, check my grades and work assignments, the computer would either getting fixed or shuts down for a few hours. Sometimes I would get scared because I'm like ok well what do I tell my professor if I don't have my work.

Academic Experience: Being a Pre-Med Student – It's great being a pre-med student even though they don't carry my major, but I am still able to get my general studies classes out the way before I transfer. Overall I really am enjoying myself and like being a pre-med student.

Academic Experience: More Information – I wish my conusals would of told me I didnt have to take a study hall. I would of tookin something extra and even a second launguage but its to late now.

Online Courses: I Have taken 1 online course. It was a great experience because I could be anywhere. But I felt that I have to study a little harder than a traditional classroom class.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Everything went smoothly. The process did not take long and I was very satisfied with the amount that I received.

Academic Experience: Classes Are Interesting – My classes are exactly pertaining to my major. Haven't had to take any classes that don't count for me! Some of the classes are a little difficult.

Overall Experience: Great School – The school is awesome and so much like home. The teacher's are great and the nursing program is amazing. I am learning so much there. I get the hands-on experience needed to be a nurse.

Campus Resources: Very Relaxed Campus – The school has a variety of different activities. They have a gym and a lot of places to hang out in between classes. The school sells awesome food every day!

Campus Resources: So Far, So Good! I have only been a student for a few weeks but from my experiences, the students and staff are super friendly, helpful, and are there to learn.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I feel they can be more efficient with their time. I have been in there a few times and seen people talking to others when I was in need to get my paper work to go through so I could get my books for my classes. When I see things like this it upsets me because the one that was doing my paperwork was really busy and then one that was suppose to be helping her was the one that was talking to someone and holding a baby for 20 that I was in there and they wasnt talking about school.

Overall Experience: I am ADD and all of my instructors since I have been back to school have been excellent. I really like everyone I had so far. Unfortunately I will be moving in the winter so I have to part with Aiken Tech. I would recommend Aiken Tech. to others. In fact, my daughter did get her Vet. Asst. certificate there and she really liked her teachers as well

Academic Flexibility: I really had a hard time trying to get ahold of someone when I was recooperating from surgery in the Summer of 2010 and at the time I was unable to drive to the school so therefore when I finally got to feeling better my paperwork was behind. I had to fight tooth and nail to get any answers. It is very frustrating because I sent several emails and I didnt get any replies. Therefore, when school started I had an assignment due that first thursday and wasnt able to get a textbook because I didnt have the money so I started off on the wrong foot. After going in the financial aid office everyday my financial aid finally went through.
The thing I am really upset about is the way Aiken Tech. is recruiting students from outside Aiken Tech. and not taking into consideration that (I feel) they should be catering more to the students they have at ATC. There are several students I know that are transferring out of ATC because we have so many outside ATC that are coming in and somehow have extremely high points to get in the program. I feel ATC should accept only so many from outside ATC a semester like they do with the students that are LPN's bridging over to RN. They only except, I believe, 7 each enroll time and I feel they need to accept majority from ATC in the program than they do outsiders. I hate to say it but it looks like a money issue because out of state students have to pay more. This is one reason why I'm not afraid to transfer to a different school because it almost seems like I might be waiting a long long time to get in the program than I should have to wait.

Campus Resources: Personal Computer – In my opinion, its's a lot easier to have your own personal computer because the computers are usually taken. The downfall to bringing your own computer is that you cannot connect to the school's network.

Campus Resources: Payment Plan – One of the things that I like about my school is that they offer a payment plan for students who do not qualify for financial aid. They also have a similar plan for books.

Student Body: A Big Mixture – At my school there is a big mixture when it comes to age groups. There are students that are right out high school, students my age, as well as students who are senior citizens. The student body is very diverse and I love that.

Career Services: Career Center Helpful – I have not had to deal with this aspect yet, but I do know the nursing program does help in preparing you for the NClEX exam. And the nursing program is also affiliated with the different in clinical aspect, so I feel I will have job prospects following graduation.

Online Courses: Online classes were accessible and help me in being flexible with other things such job, and home. There was interaction with other students, and teacher. Pleasant experience. Would take another online class in the future, if necessary.

Academic Experience: Pleasant Experience. I have been attending Aiken for the last 2 years and it has been an overall pleasant experience. I am in the nursing program, and they have been very thourghly in letting you know what is expected of you and also helping you achieve your goals. Registration process for me as always been easy and pleasant experience, I have done this online each semester I have attended. I have ran into a few intimidating instructors.
