Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial Aid covers over half the cost. The tuition is not very expensive. Aiken tech is becoming more organized.

Tuition & Financial Aid: There needs to be a FAQ page for Financial Aid or have a telephone number that does not go straight to voice mail that I have never gotten a call back from. A simple how to page would be nice.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: The online course are good. The instructions are not standard fromn one class to the next on how to submit work. The instructors think you should know how to and get frustrated and with the students.

Academic Flexibility: Example: Last semester a new professor did not explain how or where to find how the class was set up for the online portion. Just expected you to know. As a new student I and many others in the classs were very frustrated for the first month trying to figure our how to submit the work needed for the class.

Campus Resources: The campus has the essentials needed for acquiring a degree. The extra's consist of a softball team, basketball team, gym (not sure if any student can access it or athletes only), different sites on and around the campus, and its conveniently located.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is very low. My financial aid covered over half of the tuition. They offer easy payment plans with reasonable costs. They also offer many different links and information for scholarships and grants.

Academic Flexibility: I chose ATC, because it is close to home, flexible schedule, and very low admission costs. The faculty and staff are very helpful and care about the students grades and learning path. I would definitely recommend anyone for ATC if they have the preferred degree of interest.

Academic Experience: Aiken Tech is a diamond in the rough, one of those “best kept secrets”! The administrative staff is so committed to serving the interest of the student body and the professors and other teaching staff are personable, professional and AWESOME! My first college experience was at a school that I won't name here; suffice it to say that Aiken Technical College helped me realize, in real-time, my high expectations for what a college education could be like.

Student Body: The student body is very diverse. It is a mixture of different races, financial status, and social backgrounds. Some students are young and right out of high school. Others are older and may already be established at home and in their career. There is a place for everyone.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financial aid is available and used by most students. Tuition is a reasonable price and payment plans can be scheduled. Applying for financial aid as early as possible is always helpful.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Wireless access is available on campus. The system does not crash frequently, and technical support systems are available. Computers are available for use on campus in the library and lab rooms.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Aiken Tech is good at trying to accommodate student needs. The faculty is flexible. Many students are of different ages, backgrounds, and have different personal situations. The school provides various class times and settings (online/hybrid/on-campus) to assist student scheduling and needs.

Campus Resources: The student center is a nice place where students can relax or buy snacks from the bookstore. The library has an acceptable book selection, but the faculty is helpful. They are great for helping students find material for assignments, even online.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: We use blackboard to send off some of our assignments. Other times we send them via our email accounts. It is pretty simple and convenient.

Academic Experience: This college is not like high school. I wish that the professor was involved more.

4 College Student

Academic Experience: It's vey good for a high school student that is attending for there first year in college.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Generally good people. However, I wish some of the ones who are going to drop out later in the semester would hurry up and do so. The parking can be a pain sometimes.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Excellent resources. Plenty of computers to use and a few empty classrooms to have a quiet study time to myself if need be.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Pretty much what I said about the administration earlier. Not much else needs to change

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Its a tech school. They don't offer much, but i don't really expect them to.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The campus is clean, the teachers are excellent, and there are plenty of things to do that the school puts on. However the administration is quite terrible. Whenever I have to deal with them, I feel as though I'm being passed around. Since enrollment I have received ZERO mail from them unless I go talk to them a second time around. This has caused me much grief and they seem to not really care.

Academic Experience: With the exception of one professor, all of the professors are excellent! My advisor is very knowledgable and will even admit when he is unsure of something and either find out the answer for you or point you in the correct directon to get the anwer. There are many programs offered and since there is a wide variety of students at the school, most classes are offered every semester.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is not bad at all compared to other schools in the area. If you take the college (university) level courses and transfer them to another college you will have saved several thousand dollars a year. Quite often though things get mixed up in the financial aid office and I have recieved letters saying that I will no longer receive my financial aid. I have gone in to the school to find out the reason only to be told that the letters had been sent to me in error. The education it totally worth he money because the classes transfer to other colleges and cost way less.

Career Services: The people who work at ATC are almost always knowledgeable and super helpful. Twice I have recieved letters from the financial aid office saying that I was no longer going to receive my financial aid. When this happened I was also dropped from all of my classes. I live 30 to 45 minutes away from the school and in order to get things straightened out I have to drive to the school. After going in to the school I have been told both times to ignore the letters because they were incorrect. Then I had to all but stay on my computer on WebAdvisor to monitor the site to try to get back into my classes.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuition is not excessive and the financial aid office is very helpful
