Career Services: I have credits from other schools, but unfornuately the credits would not transfer.

Online Courses: registering for classes are very easy. professors are always available

Online Courses: As a traditional student, I much prefer having things taught within a classroom setting. I am currently taking an online math course, and it is a work in progress. The professor has given us her personal email so that questions can be directly sent to her. She has also provided us with her office hours, so that we may meet in person. This is rare for online courses, and I think it is a important factor to make students feel more comfortable with her course. If more professors offered this, people would feel more confident taking online courses.

Overall Experience: I do not mean to continue on about my program, but it has truly changed my life. It has not been so much the school, but my professor. She has molded us into competent adults, who have not only book skills, but life skills as well. My professor alone is what makes my school unique. The amount of work she puts in daily, Monday through Sunday, for her students demands that she be respected. She gives us so many opportunities to learn from our mistakes, challenge our doubts, and teach us valuable lessons. If the school were to have more professors who met with this standard, the college would be one of the best in the country.

Academic Experience: I have currently completed the EMT basic program, and I am elated. The amount of pride I have, not only for my completion, but for every one of my classmates is over the top. This program brings individuals with so many different types of personalities and forces them to become a family. Although there are a lot of required hours within the classroom, it has been some of the most valuable time I have ever spent. My professor has taught us what is required of us and beyond.

Academic Experience: Although I am in love with my program, the one my school is most known for is their nursing program. It is one of the most notorious in the area. The nursing program at Aiken Technical College has a better graduation rate than any other schools in the area. The students that graduate from this course have a more profound knowledge, and yet they are some of the most humble men and women working in hospitals around the area.

Facilities: Aiken Technical College is the first I have seen that has an active fraternity, that has members who are willing to be proud of their involvement. It also provides a chance for students to be involved with a sports team. Although, it is not as diverse as a four year university, it still provides an array of opportunities for students to become involved within the school. The personal relationship each faculty member tries to reach with every student is astounding. This is probably one of the biggest differentiating factors it holds against any other college or university I have been to or seen.

Student Body: My college is amazing at collecting anyone who wants to better themselves. The amount of interaction between the school and veterans is extremely commendable. There is such a wide range of students; however, everyone works well together.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I transferred to this school from a four year university, and this technical college is so much better. I have been in school for a while now, and I have never encountered a professor who loves their job as much as mine does. My professor bends over backwards for her students, and the amount of respect and knowledge that comes from this program is a direct correlation of this behavior.

5 College Sophomore

Career Services: Within the first few months of class, I was offered a job opportunity while sitting in the classroom. My program, and especially my professor, have great connections to the surrounding community.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The Financial Aid availability for certain students is impeccable, but there are some students who do not qualify for any help. I am one of those students, due to extenuating circumstances, my FAFSA cannot be completed. This limits me profusely in the amount of scholarships and financial help that I can receive.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Overall, the campus has decent resources; however, the library needs some major improvement.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: It would be prudent for the students to have a more stable Wi-Fi connection, considering the amount of wireless devices. It would also be beneficial to students to have a place where they can print things quickly without having to go to three different locations to pay for it first. This is a waste of time, and money for a single sheet of paper.

3 College Junior

Facilities: The entire campus is smoke-free. the campus is spread out to be such a small school.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: You can find accessible computers in multiple places all over campus.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: I haven't taken any online courses yet, but i have heard that they are fairly easy, and still have the constant support of professors.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Postings and announcements are made but not very detailed or easy to find. If you want to find out about an event, you have to research the information as to what it is truly for.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Fall scheduling is easy to get into classes that you need for your major. However, spring semester classes are scarce, and if you do not register extremely fast you may miss the chance to take a course that you need for your major.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The professors are excellent. Small classes provide more one on one time with professors, and they all seem to show great interest in the students learning.

3 College Junior

Student Body: Aiken Technical College shows a range of diversity between race, religion, sexual, and style of students. There doesn't seem to be any crowds of friends of large groups of people that hang around one another.
