5 College Sophomore

Facilities: If you are interested in business then this school is perfect for you because that is all that it is focused around. There are no general education classes that you have to take that have nothing to do with your career path. Also they help you apply for jobs in your field and graduate in three years, so you can be ahead of others.

Campus Resources: There are computer labs and printers in every building on campus the only problem is when the printers break. Having a personal computer is very helpful because you need to constantly take notes and type papers for assignments, but computers are always available it is just more convenient to have your own.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: We have a student lounge with a ping pong table, pool table, big screen TV, computers, laundry area, and just an area to sit and relax. Also we have a gym with a track above it and a work out room available to all students. There is a library and about every week there is something going on with either sports or just general activities (speakers, meals for the heartland, shuttle to Wal-Mart weekly, Co-ed football, and many other events).

Online Courses: I have personally never taken one of our online courses, however, I have heard that the courses are hard and that you have to be very dedicated and a self-starter to do good with online courses in general. As far as communication with the professors, the professors that I currently take classes with teach the same classes online and they let the students contact them or come in at point in time that they need help with something. The professors are very passionate about the subjects they teach and making sure that the students learn what they need to in order to do well in the business world.

Academic Flexibility: They are very flexible with scheduling classes because you can take day, evening, online, or even blended classes which is day and online classes. So what ever fits your schedule the best. When you take day classes you only have class Monday thru Thursday and you are done with your classes by 1:35 if you go full-time, so they make it very easy for students to have a job after school and on weekends or be involved in sports. If you go full-time and year-round then you can graduate in three years with a bachelors degree.

Student Body: There is a very diverse student body and everyone excepts that. We have made new organizations to make people feel more welcome and involved. Almost everyone that goes to AIB is serious about the career they are going into, so they takes classes more seriously than bigger universities. Everyone takes the same classes even with having different majors because of the school being specialized in business, so you meet a lot of different people every term.

College Junior

Online Courses: To be honest, I myself have not taken an online course but I have heard many good things about it

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: AIB is a college of business, therefore, every major there is business related. As a business administration major, I have classes with student who are majoring in something different but still business related.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: my academic experience as a whole has been amazing. There's a friendly environment. Students are very friendly and social. Teachers interact with students very well. The administration does everything they can to help you become successful. The administration helped me stay at AIB by offering me scholarships given through AIB.

5 College Junior

Student Body: The most I've seen are athletes but other than that there are a variety of students; some from brazil, mexico, different states other than IOWA. Yet, everyone gets along great.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love going to AIB. It's a small yet very comfortable college. Everyone including students and teachers are very friendly making it a safe environment.

Tuition & Financial Aid: For a college, I thought it would be really expensive, but compared to other colleges it is somewhat cheap. Although I am on a monthly payment plan, and well the price is a bit high making it difficult each month especially in the winter when my dad no longer works

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: The only thing I hate and im pretty sure everyone else hates is having an early morning class. Other than that, classes are pretty good. Only an hour long and i'm done by 12:30.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: AIB provides an amazing student center. There is always coffee and donuts or some type of treat to go along with coffee for students who need their daily cup of coffee. The gym is open during break hour and after school. There is also a workout facility with equipment that is new and very attractive.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: I love the fact that AIB is like a private college. It's a small, beautiful campus. There are no worries about having to walk all across town just to get to class. Everything is in the same area. The campus size provides a more friendly campus. It gives students the opportunity to meet more people and become familiar with these people as well.

5 College Junior

Career Services: I would say AIB does an excellent job with their Career services program. In all my life, I had not known of any other college who offers this opportunity. AIB prepares us in our career field to get us students more involved and knowledgeable about our career and what it requires.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The Wi-Fi is a bit slow at times but other than that AIB provides a variety of resources that help us students be more prepared in class. We are provided with many different computer labs, tutors, also there is a career center which provides students at AIB an opportunity to work in the field that they are majoring.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I feel that the tuition is very high. It is more than double the community college tuition. Yes, it is a private university which makes it more expensive, but over $20,000 per year is a lot of money to spend for almost the same education. Also, they charge silly fees. A campus usage fee? For what? That, on top of a parking pass.. It gets ridiculous.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: What I like most about this school is that they write your schedule for you. I have looked at other colleges and you have to try and formulate a schedule out of a workbook. At AIB your classes all start one right after the other and you don't have a lot of downtime between classes. This has been very helpful so that I can continue to work as I am enrolled in school.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I started as a Business Admin. major. I recently switched to an Accounting major. All of the classes transferred between majors. The professors are all very helpful and offer as much help as you need. They have all worked in their field and have advanced degrees in the field as well.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: The Career Services are very in tune with each individual student and really focus on what the student can do to attain the job they want. They provide resume building tools, interview skills, and really help the student with monthly job postings.

4 College Junior

Student Body: They do a very good job to try and interact with us and figure out what we want. They meet every few weeks to discuss things and figure out new ways to figure out how to make us happier.

College Junior

Online Courses: I have not taken any online classes yet, but the people who have say they are easy and user friendly.

4 College Junior

Career Services: They do a pretty good job of getting together with each student and helping them prepare their resumes to get a job. That is the most difficult part for most people to do so good thing their there to help us with it.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The resources on campus are pretty great considering how small of school we are. There is a gym and fitness center, student center in one of the housing units, library, and many campus activities that go on.
