3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Our Dining Hall could have more healthy choices.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: There is only one dining hall at Agnes, unfortunately. There is not a late night option aside from Mollie's, which is the restaurant on campus in the student center. It is open until midnight on weekdays, and 9pm on weekends, which leaves a lot of students in the cold on a late night on the weekend, with nothing on campus open.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: There's one main hall that's open for a couple of hours everyday; the schedule changes on weekends. The menus and variety change every day for the most part. Meal plans come in three options that vary as far as number of meals per week.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: There are only two places on campus to get food. Evans, the dining hall, and Mollies, the "grill"/fast food place. Both have decent food, and are open at decent hours.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Because of weddings on the weekends, sometimes you will have to eat a very limited number of foods in lower Evans. Although there is a lot of options during the weekdays, they definitely get repetitive. The food is usually pretty good on the regular though. If you're a vegetarian or vegan, they offer many more options than most colleges, and tofu is usually featured as a main dish. However, you still might want to ask permission to bring your own fridge. The communal fridges in the dorms get crowded.

Overall, Agnes Scott's dining facilities are nice. The pricing for meals isn't the best for the quality of food you receive, though. In Letitia Pate Evans Dining Hall (Evans), the pricing ranges from $5.50 to $9. Although these meals are covered by the meal plans, they are still expensive. Dinners are highly priced, and you could easily go into Decatur and eat dinner for less or just as much as Evans costs you; however, you should keep in mind that Evans is an all-you-can-eat place, so the money you spend on dinner is used to cover what you eat and waste. Aside from pricing, Evans is a wonderful place at which to eat. It's always clean, the people are always welcoming, and the food isn't horrendous, either. In Evans, there are food traditions for a couple days of the week. Wednesday is always "Fried Chicken Wednesday," where traditional Southern food is served in the "Comfort Zone" serving area; fish is always served on Friday (in the Comfort Zone area) along with tacos, which are served in the international food section. Although things in Evans often do get repetitive, there's always something there for someone to enjoy.

The pricing in Mollie's Bakery Café (Mollie's) is more reasonable than what you pay for in Evans. Few people are impressed by the Mollie's staff because they are often rude and intimidating at night. They also don't often have a sense of urgency. Both Evans and Mollie's have vegetarian/kosher/vegan options, but there isn't much variety. Dining availability is limited because there is only one dining hall and one restaurant on campus, which contributes to people being bored with the food. There are, however, many restaurants within walking distance that offer student discounts on food.

Special Options
There are no special food options like delivery or food trucks provided by the school. There are places in Decatur that will deliver to campus, but there are no food trucks at all. Both Evans and Mollie's have vegetarian options. As far as food allergies go, all of the ingredients to everything made in both Evans and Mollie's is provided to students. If a student cannot eat the food on campus due to food allergies, he or she can contact Pete Miller at pmiller@agnesscott.edu or the Student Life Office to arrange a meal plan.
