Campus Housing: I actually do not live on campus or within the campus housing so I can not personally rate it. I do however have friends that live in campus housing and some say they like it but others say that they hate it.

Computers: Technology at FHCHS – The school requires everyone to purchase a labtop. It was an expensive laptop that in my opinion was not worth the money. The computer is however reliable for my school work. We also have a warranty on it through Dell. I think there was an issue with these computers however because the contract with Dell was not renewed for the next semester students. The Wi-Fi is great here however it does not work for everyone. Sometimes the systems creash while taking a test which is really stressful but I know technology is not perfect. I did drop my laptop once and it shattered into pieces which I was suprised. I payed $1,200 on this lap top and so I expected the durability of it to be better. It was fixed though with the warranty on it. Although I like using my laptop at school, I feel that the school should not make it a requirement to purchase a laptop especially through them. Not everyone can afford it and I think a cheaper laptop would have sufficed. The only way that I was able to purchase this laptop was via a loan which comes to show that not everyone can afford laptops.

Weather: Mostly Sunny With a Chance of Rain – It is mostly always sunny here and perfect to be outside all day long. If it does rain it is in the afternoon and the rain only lasts for a few minutes. The weatherman will say that there is a 50% chance of rain almost everyday, yet it will almost never rain.

Overall Experience: Awesome School – The teachers are so so caring and helpful. The students are pleasant. You can't no t walk around campus happy and content. The atmosphere is incredible.

Transportation: Well for me, it's long distance. I knew when applying to the school I would have a long drive. The shuttles for the school that take you from the off site parking lot also stops at the student housing which I think is very convenient for those that take advantage of the student housing.

Drug Safety: Overall Great Students – Being that it is a private medical school, seems most students are here for their future. The overall behavior of the students is very well.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: Great Service Provided – Campus cafe offers variety items to choose from and daily specials and lunch combos. Many places to sit to enjoy a snack or meal or just to hang out with other students. Wish they had a better outdoor area with more seating.

Drug Safety: Drugs and Adventists – The drug scene in Florida Hospital College is pretty limited. I know that some people like to go out and have a drink on the weekends. I personally don't know anaybody from the school that is involve in heavier drugs. But in general most of the people are clean.

Nightlife: Party Scene – Florida Hospital College of Helath Sciences is a Seventh Day Adventist school. Even though many claim to be adventist, most people do go out and club. I live in the school housing and many of the people do go clubbing. We live 10 minutes away from dowtwon where many bars and clubs are located. The bar/club scene is ok. It all depends of what is your taste. The school does not support clubbing but many people do it anyways.

Majors: Getting in – Getting in was easy, just keep your GPA up and you'll get in, the question on if you'll stay in is a harder one to anserw. The drop out rate for all the programs is about 40-60%. The instructors don't care about the needs of each person, or anyone in fact besides them selfs. It's heart breaking

Facilities: This School Has Nothing – There are no athletics, clubs, sports health clinics. This school has nothing to offer

5 College Senior

Majors: High Quality Program – I enjoy the Radiography program. The college is preparing each student for the Registry. All of the students in the program receive hands on experience. The curriculum is followed by the professors. I have very knowledgeable professors who are willing to help when needed.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: I receive the full amount from financial aid, but the college is very expensive. I am paying for housing, supplies, transportation and food out of my savings money. I am almost out of money. In addition, the college raises the tuition rates once a year. It is required to have health insurance which just adds to my list of expenses. The financial aid staff is very pleasant and efficient. I just had to fill out many forms to receive the financial aid plus search for additional income.

Parking: Shuttle Transport – The college is very kind to provide the students with a parking lot and a shuttle transport system. However, the shuttle drive is about five minutes to college, and fifteen minutes from college. There are plenty of parking spots available, but if the student is taking the early morning class, he/she needs to make sure to arrive at least thirty minutes early because the shuttles are quickly filled up. On a positive note, the shuttle allow a few minutes to "chat" with fellow students and to get to know many of the different faces that attend the college. If the students had a parking facility near the school, the time saved from commute would result in extra sleeping time and/or studying time which is of the highest importance.

Weather: The weather in Orlando is beautiful. It is warm and sunny most of the time.

Computers: There are lots of computers on campus. They are reliable.

Overall Experience: Like the Online Degree Program – I'm in my second semester of the online RN to BSN program, and so far it is great. We have a weekly chat online with the instructor, and there are videos of lectures to watch, along with Powerpoint presentations and reading. I find this takes just as much time as conventional classes, the nice thing is you can take the class and not leave home, and do things when you want to, except for the weekly chat. There are deadlines for tests and assignments of course, but they are all listed on the class web site.

Overall Experience: A Tight Fit – FHCHS is great, but it's only great because I am personally very conservative and a hard studier. If I had a large partying and social life, and wasn't a good student I would hate it here. This is a very specific college for specific people. If you are not religious, you will find the required religion classes tedious and pointless. The professors are really amazing and do try to help you as much as they can. The library is decent and they have a lot of body models for students to use. Overall, the atmosphere is very focused and academic. If you are going into the medical field this is a good place to go.

Campus Strictness: Very Strict! VERY VERY STRICT. No alcohol, no drugs, no "sleepovers." If you violate these rules, you get either a hefty fine or you get kicked out. You must maintain a C average otherwise you go on academic probation. Also, you aren't allowed to wear pjs to school. If you miss more than three days of class, you are dropped from the register. Etc.. You need to have your ps and qs lined up to go here.

Nightlife: Non-Existant, but That's Ok! This school is Seventh Day Adventist. Alcohol is not allowed on-campus, and the dorm deans do check the apartments for alcohol and other substances against the rules. This is great for those who don't want that distraction. Please note that dorms for guys and girls are in separate buildings, and member of the opposite sex aren't allowed into the dorms, unless you sign them in at the office and hang a sign on your door which has to remain open. You will probably get kicked out for violating those rules. Curfew is midnight for those under 21, and 2 for those over 21. The curfew is enforced by RA's who do a roomcheck each night. Pretty much, don't go to this college if you are a partier, but if you want to focus on your studies without distraction this is a great college for you! I like it... We are in the heart of downtown Orlando, so safety is definitely a priority for the deans. Note that transportation to the college stops at 9 oclock at night.

Local Atmosphere: College Friendly With a Nice Downtown – from what i have seen so far, the city where the school is located is fairly nice. there is a variety of shops and small restaurants and the freeway is very close.

5 College Senior

Diversity: Culturally and Religiously Diverse – the diversity on campus is unique unlike any other campus i have been on before. even the staff is diverse in culture and religious background and that is good to see. everyone is accepting and not judgmental at all.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I Do Not Live on Campus – I will be moving from Jacksonville to Orlando for my first semester starting in the fall of 2011. While apartments are available through the school, there are no 'on campus' housing units available.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: First Class – The Nuclear Medical Tech BS program is just starting in the fall of 2011. Before now it has been an AS program with very high accreditation that has worked closely with one of the most prestigious hospitals in Florida, Florida Hospital. I am extremely pleased to be one of the first students to enter this program. Over the next couple years I plan to make the best of the facilities available to me and network as well as I can to have a job available to me once I do graduate.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Very Goal Oriented - Fair – FHCHS is a small private college with about 3,000 students, so for what it's worth, its okay. If you've decided to come here it's because you want to get straight to what you want to do, if you're looking for the "college life" don't come here. The students all help each other out with classes, and they normally don't run more than 30 people to a class, which is nice. Sometimes I wish I could have gone to a bigger school just to get that feeling of what it's like, but overall, I'm content because I know this school will do just fine for me.
