5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I have never felt unsafe or discouraged to be on campus.

3 College Freshman

Majors: As a nursing major, I will be interning at Florida Hospital. I don't know the specifics yet because I am only in my first year.

3 College Freshman

Weather: The Florida weather hardly ever gets classes cancelled. The only bad thing about campus is when it rains, there is no overhang or roof to keep us from getting wet when going to building to building.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: There are many planned events for students to socialize and enjoy recreational activities. These include beach vespers, prayer groups, the Spring Picnic, and the International Food Festival.
Student Services also maintains a database of community service opportunities. Students can sign up to serve at specific events, or stop in any day of the week to find an organization that needs their talents.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: My school's volunteer program has enabled me to interact with the community and meet people in different areas.

4 College Senior

Majors: I am very happy with the program that I am in at Florida Hospital College. I really like the fact that before all my classes my teachers take the time to read a quick devotion, ask for prayer requests and then prays before class begins. My career goals are to become a professional Cardiovascular Sonographer and to help those with heart complications. I dont really have too much of a concern finding a job because in my program for 2 years we go to different hospitals for clinical each month 4 days a week.

5 College Freshman

Computers: You can always find a spot, and the computers work fast.

1 College Senior

Parking: The parking is the only complaint that I have about the school and surrounding area. It is difficult to find parking in Orlando in general.

4 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Everything is great minus the parking downtown. It is a serious risk to park under I-4 downtown

4 College Senior

Guys & Girls: People are very nice at the school and are always willing to help. There really are no downsides.

4 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: I am a distant student but I can describe myself as mature and determined. Physically I am of average height and build. I would classify myself as a southern belle.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I am yet to actually start classes but I believe it will be very competitive. I am a distant student and understand the work load to be pretty substantial. My ultimate goal is to become a Radiology Assistant. I will be a very respected and valuable asset to any hospital or a radiologist group. I will be able to do my internship where I work so that is very helpful. I strive to be the top of my class at Adventist University of Health Sciences so that it will be easier to be accepted into the RA program of my choice.

4 College Sophomore

Majors: The process of getting accepted into the bachelors of radiology was pretty straight forward. The most challenging aspect of the whole process is the financial aid. The mos important criteria for admission would absolutely have to be that you already have an associates degree instead of a certificate. I suggest you do all your application steps quickly and make time to sit through the tutorials at one time.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: I am still working on the financial aid. One thing I am not pleased with is the fact that there seem to be multiple people handling my financial aid file and it is confusing to keep it all straight. Also I found this by chance. I would have expected the financial aid office to inform me of any scholarships since I am applying for help.

5 College Junior

Transportation: If students stay on campus there is a shuttle that picks up the students to and from at no cost. There are city buses and taxis but student have to pay for those. I have my own transportation. I drive my own car.

3 College Junior

Majors: I have had my difficulties at this school. I am having problems affording my classes. Some classes are difficult to register for because they are limited times. Some days may not work well for me because I have to work too.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: The food cafeteria is okay. They have a lot of burger and sandwiches. They are limited on salads. I usually walk over to the hospital and eat at the cafeteria there. There is a great variety in the hospital cafe.

5 College Junior

Drug Safety: No drugs or alcohol is not tolerated. Smoking is limited because the hospital bans smoking.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: There are all kinds of places to eat at. The school is fairly close to Downtown Orlando and Winter Park. There are many options to pick from. I don't have a problem finding a place to eat. There any many different varieties.

5 College Junior

Academics: I came to fhchs because it has an architecture program, the campus is great, and most of the professors I have had have been close to amazing.

2 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: we have a cafeteria that stay open till 7:00. thats the closets place to grab something to eat.

3 College Junior

Majors: Although my major is only general studies, i can i like where this are going.

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: The campus is beautiful and smaller. Each of the buildings is within walking distance of each other. Library is quiet and well stocked with reading material of any sort. The picnic areas by the lakes offer nice quiet areas to be outside and study or dine. Student lounge offers games and pool table as well as study space.

2 College Sophomore

Parking: The parking lot is located off campus which means students need to arrive at least 15 earlier than normal. As more students enroll in the college, the parking becomes very difficult, often times circling for a space. Location is good because the lot is easily accessible but it needs to be bigger.

2 College Sophomore

Transportation: The shuttle system currently in place struggles in the early morning because many students take 8 AM classes, leaving long lines and students late for class. The parking lot is also becoming more cramped with the increase of students that attend the school so parking is difficult on top of waiting for shuttles to arrive and depart to campus.
