Scholarships: Adler offers almost no scholarships - they need more!

Greek Life: No greek life at adler, since we don't have dorms.

Scholarships: Compared to the undergrad school I came from, this school offers practically nothing when it comes to scholarships, unless you count loans! They really could work on offering more scholarships

Diversity: It's pretty diverse, especially considering we're in Chicago-it has to be diverse. But in my program (art therapy) we definitely have diversity.

Drug Safety: As far as I am concern, drugs are not a problem on campus.

Academics: Very rigorous. This is grad school afterall! Lots of reading and projects to do. Professors are very friendly and willing to help a student understand topics. Lots of resources at the school to help with research and writing papers, etc.

Health & Safety: We just had an update in our student health insurance, so that the insurance would offer more for the students. I wish that our school provided free counseling services though. You must have id on you to enter the building and our campus so safety is covered there.

Parking: There is no parking at Adler. Adler does not have a traditional campus, so if you want to drive to Adler, you must find a park garage for the car.

Nightlife: Because everyone at this school is older (21+), people do go out for drinks, but I'd say the partying is a lot calmer. Most people are open to hanging out and getting to know others in their profession/classes, so it's a very friendly atmosphere to find people to do things with

Nightlife: It's Chicago – Chicago is chock full of bars, clubs, and fun places to hang.

Local Atmosphere: It's Chicago – Chicago is the third largest city in the nation, and is a culinary mecca. So much to see and do. Too bad I have so much homework...

Weather: It's Chicago – We have true winters and people here like to salt, not shovel. Be prepared for hot summers and slushy winters.

Overall Experience: Tuition Has Doubled Since I Started – The cost of attendance is extremely high. In fact, tuition has almost doubled since I started attending the Adler School. I was drawn toward the school for its Adlerian history, but the administration does not strongly support Adlerian theory and it is evident. I have made the most of the program, but I do not encourage other students to attend.

Transportation: Access to Public Transit Is Great – The school is conveniently located near the blue and red lines as well as a number of bus lines. No car needed.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: Very Simple Process – Once accepted into the institution, I was immediately considered for a diversity scholarship. I did not have to submit a secondary application for the scholarship, nor did I have to request that the school consider me for the award. I was awarded the Diversity Scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Local Atmosphere: So Many Activities – Considering the location of the school, students have access to many attractions including parks, beaches, concerts, television show tapings and museums. I don't believe there will be a dull moment in the local atmosphere of Chicago.

Parking: No Need for a Car – Since Adler is in downtown Chicago, the school provides a UPASS. This pass provides unlimited rides to and from downtown at a discounted price. During the first year of the master's program, there is no need to even have a car. The second year of the master's program will require personal transportation due to the practica requirements being off campus.

Parking: Parking downtown is very expensive. Your best option is to take public transportation, which is included in the fees at registration so you get a free pass during the school term on any CTA or buses in the city.

5 College Junior

Diversity: Adler has a great amount of diversity, and diversity and cultural issues are integrated into every classroom so that you get the most of your experience. I haven't had any classmates that feel uncomfortable because of their ethnic differences.
