4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: People are very social and friendly. People here love to talk and hear about the lives of other people.

3 College Junior

Diversity: The student body is pretty diverse for the most part.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: It's really nice, and gives a sense of community.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel safe on campus, we must have our identification visible to enter the building and use the elevators.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: It took a while and I received very little financial aid.

3 College Junior

Athletics: There are no sport teams for this graduate school. The students are involved in sports outside of school and get classmates involved.

4 College Junior

Facilities: I am part of a program that is not offered frequently at other graduate schools. I am specializing in Sport and Health Psychology.

4 College Junior

Drug Safety: There are no drugs and alcohol on campus.

3 College Junior

Weather: Chicago weather is unpredictable. We have very long winters, but the weather is manageable.

4 College Junior

Nightlife: Wrigleyville has great bars and people are always outgoing and fun to be around. Great atmosphere.

4 College Junior

Parking: It's $16 for the entire day and there is always parking spaces available in the parking garage.

College Junior

Greek Life: We do not have a Greek Life

Computers: There is always a computer available for students to use in the computer lab. The printing is very easy and quick; we don't have a printing limit. We are able to use our own laptops and print directly from our personal laptops to the school printers. There are computer technicians around to assist us with any trouble we may encounter with printing or general computer use.

Local Atmosphere: Chicago is filled with culture from restaurants to museums and cultural attractions. There is always something to do for both visitors and locals.

Computers: Computers in the computer lab and on-campus usually work pretty well, but are sometimes slow to log-on, which can be frustrating if you're hurriedly trying to print something before class. Printers are often down, but work great when they're working! Wireless speed and access is pretty reliable, and easy.

Off-Campus Housing: Adler does not have housing "on-campus" because Adler doesn't really have a campus - it's one building in downtown Chicago. But they do a good job of putting students in contact with one another for potential roommate-matching. They also can put students in contact with free apartment-finding services. Because Chicago's public transportation is so extensive, you can get to the Adler School from anywhere in the city, regardless of where you live. And obviously, some neighborhoods are more expensive than others.

Campus Strictness: Adler doesn't explicitly place restrictions on students' social lives, but students should be aware that part of our assessment as good potential future clinicians is based on our actions outside of class. I think the school does a good job of incorporating this into the curriculum, however, because these are graduate programs and a professional atmosphere. People who might show up hungover or still drunk, or who are skipping class due to late-night partying will probably not make it too far here.

Transportation: Adler is in the Loop (Chicago's downtown area), so it's very accessible via buses or the el (Chicago's subway system). Adler also given students UPASS transit cards, which are only $86 per semester to ride all Chicago public transit an unlimited number of times - that's an amazing deal.

Off-Campus Dining: In Chicago I feel that you can find any kind of food you want with varying levels of qualities and pricing. You just have to look in the right place.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Wish that more grants were available to those who do not have any family financial support.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: Adler has made diversity a priority. Both in terms of its student body and its educational focus.

5 College Junior

Facilities: The Adler School of Professional Psychology is a brand new state of the art facility. There is an athletic center, student center, library, and the campus is entirely green!

5 College Junior

Facilities: The facilities are all brand new and have state of the art technology. The chairs are comfortable, the smart boards in every room are fantastic, there is computer and wifi access all over campus, and the building is all brand new.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: There is a very nice dining hall but the food options are limited. Outside restaurants are all great choices but inside there are mainly vending machines.

College Student

Greek Life: There is no Greek Life at Adler, unless you count Psi Chi, which is a psychology honors group.
