4 College Junior

Drug Safety: School is not allowed to use drugs and alcohol on campus. I have not seen bad drug scene at my school. But I heard that athletic students use drugs and alcohol more frequently then other students.

5 College Junior

Facilities: My school has unique relationships between professors and scholars. I belief this makes a huge difference in way of achieving goals both students and the school.

Scholarships: I have financial difficulties each semester because of expenses of nursing text books, housing, clinical traveling, and food during each semester. I can't work during the school year because my nursing school is very intense plus English is my third language. Hence I have to work extra hard on my nursing courses.Tips keep applying scholarships.

Off-Campus Dining: Alamosa is a small town and McDonalds is the only 24 hour restaurant.

Academics: The classes are small and the professors are very helpful to any and everyone who needs extra help.

3 College Freshman

Computers: Some computer labs are slower than others and there are classes in there sometimes.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: There are many people from all over the world who are there for the same reason and get treated the same.

3 College Junior

Computers: Wi-fi is slow and stops at times, but the computer labs are good and very useful.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I have not personally had any concerns, and I have heard of very few.

1 College Junior

Scholarships: It is practically impossible to get financial aid if you are not a minority group. The school makes those who are not usually considered minorities the actual minority by hardly helping them.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The places around campus are good. I guess you get kind of tired of eating at dining halls, but when you need something to eat between classes, you can't complain. Adams State dining hall food is not all that bad, it just gets old sometimes. I suggest not buying a huge meal plan after freshman year

Athletics: Varsity sports at Adam State University are pretty huge, especially the way campus treats us. We have wonderful training and workout facilities, including our own trainers, psychologists, and academic advisers. IM sports are pretty huge, too, because anyone can play. We have some pretty diverse ones. Since our campus is pretty small, everyone comes to games, and participates in athletic activities.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: The drug scene at Adams State University is not really big, although it depends on who you hang out with. If people are doing drugs, they're usually just smoking. Drinking is a much more popular activity.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I enjoy taking classes on-line but would like a little more support from school staff on enrolling in classes, etc. The tuition is much more affordable than the popular on-line schools such as University of Phoenix and Kaplan. I am not concerned about finding a job afterwards.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I simply applied to the college as a transfer student and the process was very simple. I filled out the application and sent in my previous transcript.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: I will be looking to start an internship upon graduation. I do not know how difficult it will be to get or if they pay for it or not.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Adams State has aleays been a safe place for me and i have not once felt scared of something or someone. The only trouble is if you leave your bike unlocked it will probably go missing.

5 College Freshman

Parking: Parking on campus is usually never a problem. The parking is free when you register and if you don't have a parking permit the tickest costs $25. If you dont have a permit there are reserved parking spots for students or vistors who live off campus.

1 College Freshman

Diversity: At Adams State College now a university the campus has a very diverse student bosy. Since the school is made up of mostly athletes students are accepted the same. We do have kids from different countries so relgion, political beliefs have a wide range.

3 College Junior

Campus Strictness: They try to be as strict as possible, but students get away with a lot of things. I also don't appreciate that there are no security cameras because there are a lot of hit and runs...my vehicle has multiple dents in it from someone else hitting it in the parking lot and then just leaving.

3 College Junior

Diversity: There are many diverse people on campus. There are many hispanics, blacks, asians, and other ethnicities on campus. There are also many homosexual people. I believe that for the most part the campus community is accepting of all these diversities.
