Tuition & Financial Aid: the financial aid is good

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Every school you go to you will find that tuition is high and that financial aid might be your only answer. The tuition at Academy of Art University is on the higher side. Classes here are quite pricey at $785/ unit. Comparing this to state universities that also offer animation majors, yes it is a steep price. But comparing this to other private art schools, this is lower or even half the cost of tuition. Even with the location being in the city of San Francisco, you kind of already expect it to be expensive. The education I am receiving for the price depends on the class, honestly. My if I did my classes on campus instead of online, then it would seem like an excellent price only because I am physically there. But dorms cost money. Online classes are still great, it is just more meaningful and personal on campus.

The experience I have received from my financial aid adviser was fine. Perhaps because doing FAFSA is nerve wrecking, one mistake can cost you hundreds or thousands. I would say that I feel like I should be receiving more student grants. I work have from my grades, I should be rewarded the Cal Grant A amount.
