Academic Experience: Registering for classes is a breeze. The workload is a bit heavy with the very in-depth curriculum offered at the Academy of Art University, as very involved instructors to help guide students.

Campus Resources: The Facilities available to students help with campus life, and as well as the needs of online students. Online tutoring, and library is very helpful. There are also activities set up for online students to mingle with other online students in the same area.

College Senior

Campus Resources: I am an online student who depends on my own network.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I have learned so much in just two semesters. The classes are packed full of information and assignments to help you understand what you are learning at the time. The topic areas are open for discussions and offers peer exchanges along with professor input. It is much easier to be part of an online art class then I thought it would be.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Unfortunately, the tution is exspensive. However, I do feel like I am learning alot, and they offer so much information and resources. The financial aid process is easy for me having gone through it a few times. But, you are appointed a financial advisor who helps you along the way and answers all your questions, and keeps you advised on your status. The only thing I would change is the price, but I guess that's why they call it an investment, because it isn't cheap.

Campus Resources: Being an entirely online student, I am satistfied with the quality of the online network. The online classes are easy to navigate, teachers are easy to reach, and they offer quick links to better describe certain topics, or show examples. Although it may take a couple of days for a response from your teacher, there are other labs available for any student seeking real time help from an instructor. So far, after one year, I haven't had any trouble with the network. I have had no trouble uploading or posting assignments.

Academic Experience: Game Design department has been excellent. Our staff, techs, and peers are always more than happy to help with anything and if they don't know how to they know someone who does.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: All of the teachers, except maybe one out of 50, have been exceptional in their knowledge and skills and the subject matter.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: There is a good amount of Resources at our disposal to get anything done that you need to for the classes you are taking at the time; just not so much for the projects that are outside of specific classes on the current schedule.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: Many of the "opportunities" the school offers require that you pay for them when we the student body pay so much of tuition and fees that it is over-bearing for those that work and go to school to pay more for the activities.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: The facilities are so spread out due to the city that it takes too much time out of the day to do anything

4 College Junior

Student Body: The students are very diverse and have been amazing to get to know. They all come from different walks of life and all around the world. There is no one kind of student but all kinds.

Academic Flexibility: The work is hard but if you have put all your effort into it you end up with amazing work. The students and staff are usually helpful. I took classes at my junior college that I knew would transfer over, so I didn't have a problem with transferring of my credits.

Online Courses: Online courses are done well here. Classes are broken down into modules, which are one a week (except for intersession). There are videos, reading, and assignments every module, as well as a forum for class discussion. Once assignments are in, instructors will give feedback on your work, very similar to how it is done on campus (I was on campus my first year here). Other than the isolation from fellow students (discussions are more like the teacher asks questions and students answer, rather than students working and talking together), online isn't as bad as most people think. They introduced online workshops this past semester so we can get extra help, advise, and tips for our careers. Online courses are done entirely at the student's pace, and that means everything from schoolwork to student interaction. It could use some work (I really wish the school gave us half the resources they give the on campus students), but its pretty good as is.

Campus Resources: Campus resources are very different for online versus on campus students. On campus, students have access to everything required for their career, however the online program is devoid of any vestige of this. I averaged the two grades together for the grade thingy (A+ for on campus, and F for online)

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: AAU is about as flexible as any school: classes online, and classes on campus. Nothing special here.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: On campus, students have access to every resource they could possibly want. For example, teachers are currently in the field, and students take field trips to companies in their area of study (we went to Double Fine a couple years ago). Online students get a small fraction of these resources. Our teachers are the same as on campus, so they are in the field. We also get a week in June called Summer Expo where we get the same resources as on campus students. Other than those, online students have to make their own resources. This is not bad, though, since we'll have to do that in our careers. Think of it as extra training. ^_^

Tuition & Financial Aid: I like the education that I'm getting, but it's proven to be extremely expensive for me, I am going to keep going for as long as I can get the loans and FAFSA because it's worth it.

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: I don't go to school on campus so I can't really comment on it.

3 College Senior

Student Body: There seems to be a variety of different types of people from different backgrounds, but I've noticed many of them have the advantage of already having there own business or having a job in the field they are going to college for.

2 College Senior

Campus Resources: In a nutshell there are limited resources for online students it seems, but then again I think it depends on what it is your looking for.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I'm not entirely satisfied with the teaching styles of the professors. Some of them don't seem to understand how there students minds work.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Only so much is offered at a private school. My first year as an athlete I didn't get a scholarship and had to come out of pocket with about $30,000. But I did the work and got grants and scholarships and looked to my family who always supported me and was willing to help with no problem. You just have to work for it. This is my dream and I'm doing whatever it takes to make it come true and be a reality for me.

Campus Resources: The most unique thing about this school is its location and its professors. A private arts school in the city, I mean it can't get any better than that! And to have professors actively participating in the very thing you're studying.....again doesn't get better than that. The facilities are incredible! The campus life and residence halls are absolutely amazing and the most diverse I've ever seen!!

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Professors are currently working in the field you're studying in and nothing can be better than that. The registration process is simple, advisers are there for you and they help you in every way possible.
