Campus Resources: I use the music lab and student library a lot. There is wireless access available, it is very reliable and I have had no issues or problems. If I need to print something, I usually pay 10 cents per page.

Academic Flexibility: There is a wide variety of classes offerred to help meet my academic requirements. I am a music student who doesn't prefer math. AAU allows me to still fulfill my math requirement by taking an astronomy class.

Campus Resources: The competition aspect is very large at the school. But the school offer students opportunities to compete in national contests which they normally win. The object is to really stand out! The library is probably my favorite resource to use at school. All those books, the collection of vogue that dates back to before my grandparents were alive, the movies that you can rent and the theater room. I also adore the Idea of collaboration the whole school has because you'll see a design or styling major linking up with a photography major and advancing both of their portfolios by working together.

Student Body: there is a variety of people at aau. i've noticed most people are easy to get along with and are fun to talk about school with. but i also noticed theres a lot of young people who arent as serious about school as i am. i think there is enough diversity at the school for you to connect with plenty of people and shouldn't worry about it :]

Student Body: The entire study body as a whole is really diverse! It changes a bit based on your program of study.

Campus Resources: the campus is spread out throughout the city. some people say they hate it and that its all about real estate, but im not going to worry about all that. all i know is, i kinda enjoy the change. sometimes one campus can get really boring. although, it would be kinda cool if the aau was all in one location.

Campus Resources: theres a pretty good vibe at the campus resource centers, i like to go to the pool, its clean and quiet and the gym is never a ghost town, but never too crowded. also its free! some gym memberships want to charge so much money when i could get the same things for free. also i like the cafe on sutter, if your in the dorms, mostly everything you need is in close proximity. the cafes fun for me because they have movie nights. they're free and its a reason to get out when you don't have much money!

Campus Resources: i have never been able to connect to the wifi at the campus, but if you have lab time the resources and connection are endless. i just wish that everyone had access. there are times where i wish i was allowed access to the computers there, it seems a little unfair for only the people who have lab classes to use the labs, after all, we are all students at aau. if i had unlimited access to the school labs, my life would be much more of a breez.

Campus Resources: If you need to print and the library, which is the main resource for printing is closed, you can use the Mac computer lab, but only for like an hour so make sure you're prepared. The library is often crowded and the computers are number so if you need to print especially around finals be prepared to wait. you also have to pay to print. I suggest getting your own printing because it pays for itself in the long run. Every building has wi-fi so bringing you computer to class is always possible.

Academic Experience: Being that it's a fashion school internships are really important, those jobs and internships are more in abundance for merchandisers and not so much for designers. The workload is pretty weighty and gets heavier the further you go along, but the goal is to have a job lined up by graduation or to get into the graduation show and get an internship or job offer then. The school brings in a world class designer or two to every show and people get really coveted internships with their companies. The classrooms are a bit cramped considering it's still a new building and they are still moving things around inside, but classes are pretty small. I don't have much to say about the curriculum, I personally feel as though it's perfect for preparation for the industry.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: the Instructors are all good at what they do but are not necessarily good at teaching or interacting with students. That being said it's always good to learn from people who have been in the business and know how it is.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The classes are well organized. The teachers are knowledgeable and very helpful. The school also has OWL for any writing assistance as well as teaching assistance that work one to one with the students. The online class discussions really help make up for any missed discussion for oncampus classes.
The registration was easy and any questions are promptly answered.

Academic Experience: I really enjoyed my classes. They were challenging and thought provoking. I am working full time as well and the workload was difficult yet manageable.

Tuition & Financial Aid: They are straightforward in their approach to meet and greet the student during hard times. They are also flexible in how the money comes into the picture.

Campus Resources: This school is situated in San Francisco and that in itself provides unique opportunities as well as a large social network.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: My school doesn't provide its students with computer labs to print things that are we required. We have to travel to the library and pay to use the printers there. For an art student I find this incredibly inconvenient.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The Campus at AAU is comfortable and modern. My only complaint is that the student caf├ęs are too small. Sometimes it's impossible to find a seat. Otherwise I find that the campus is exceptional

Academic Experience: It's great to be a fashion student in the online program offered by the Academy. I feel I have learned a lot in my short time there. The workload is heavy at times, but I'm always learning something new and I enjoy the assignments I'm given. The job opportunities for fashion students are incredible. When I finish my studies at the Academy, I will show my designs at the annual fashion show that is held during fashion week. Many big-name designers come to the shows to recruit new talent for their company.

Student Body: The student body at my school, in online education, is a diverse mix of people all reaching for the same goal. We are normal, everyday students that don't have the ability to move far away from our homes and families in order to get an education. We are at the stage in our lives where we have made roots in our family life and are not able to sacrifice the amount of time it takes to earn a degree on campus. The majority of us have part-time or full-time jobs and are working through it all in order to make a better future for ourselves and our families.

Academic Experience: I love my major and all it has to offer. The school offers a lot of help and bring opportunities to you constantly making your life easier. The location is unique and inspiring every class as your surrounded by previous projects and cool design elements.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I've never had problems with registration, I actually enjoy registering on the phone, my advisor always pumped me up and was really nice about giving information without me needing to do find it myself. The only problem is they change my advisor a lot. I was getting comfortable with my advisor and wished I hadn't had to switch . But overall, registration is easy and should be exciting !

Student Body: This is school as a huge variety for a student body, there are all kinds of different ethnics, religious, sexual, rich, poor, and different views on political, etc. The one thing they all have in common is they love art, and their passion is making it their career, and we all work together.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Everything on the campus with their computer network is amazing. Everywhere in the school is Apple oriented. Every mac lab you go to, they all have the same programs for you to be able to access for your classes. They have all kinds of printers for you to pay a short fee, or before 10am its free. You can print all sizes and in different qualities for whatever project you have. Also if you ever need any help with anything, there is always someone who can help. There is always free wifi in all the buildings for the students to use, and you can access it with your student username and password.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Most schools have a 50% liberal arts and a 50% toward your major, but the Academy has a 75% toward your major and 25% liberal arts. This way you are not wasting your time taking classes you will not need. Also there really isn't a campus, downtown San Francisco is the campus, but don't worry because to be able to get into any one of the buildings you must scan your student ID. That way you don't have any strangers getting into any school building, and you can feel safe.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Everything in the school is very reliable. There are multiple gyms around the campus that is most convenient to you, they have a huge library with anything you could ever need. They have multiple mac labs for the students to use along with printers that can print in various sizes. There are always campus activities such as athletic games, or movie nights, and etc. The teachers, RA's, security, and even kitchen staff at the cafe's get to know your name and you as a person.
