3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I do online class

4 College Freshman

Student Body: Pretty sure it has a great student body

5 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: If you want to pay for a school, save up on money and apply for Scholarships

3 College Student

Online Courses: Trying to upload my homework to the teacher was a hassle but other then that the reading and learning material was great

Campus Resources: I only know of the online environment. From pictures, the physical campus looks great. San Fran's a pretty city.

Academic Flexibility: Online is perfect for me and my study habits. I'd fall asleep if I was stuck in a giant lecture hall. It seemed almost impossible to attend traditional art classes like sketching and painting without being in class with an instructor. However, the supplemental instruction (movies, audio, handouts) put the instructor right in my home office. The online schedule means I can do the work when I can after putting in a full day of work.

Overall Experience: Some folks have commented a degree from AAU is useless. I've found while applying for advertising jobs that it's respected and appreciated that someone in the field pushed themselves to learn the foundations of ad ideation and execution.

Overall Experience: You're working for professionals in the field in every class. They all want and expect the best your brain can deliver. If you push yourself and pay attention to their feedback, you'll get 10x more out of the class than simply skating by on the core requirements to pass. Think of every class as an internship - drive to impress.

Career Services: OUTSTANDING! The career councilors are super helpful and willing to get behind the top performers.

Student Body: I've only known them through the online environment. That said, I've met and worked with some beautifully bright individuals. There are some who are in the advertising program because they think they want to be there. Then there are those who know they should be there. The work output from those two groups is noticeably different.

Online Courses: Every class I've taken has been online - even the art ones. The system is wonderful, the instructors are (mostly) engaged in the discussions at all time, and it meets the flexibility requirements I have with my schedule.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I'm there with help of the US gov't loans, so everything's been running quite smoothly so far. As I come to my last semester (Fall 2014) I will be short about $2K of the total bill. The school has a convenient 4-installment pay system to cover anything not picked up by the gov't loans.

Academic Experience: I adore AAU. The advertising department is filled with incredibly bright instructors who know how to motivate and extract your best work. The school isn't for everyone though. You need to be ready to work your butt off to get the results.

Academic Experience: With the exception of an obnoxious typography class that duplicated the content of a previous course, all of the classes in the degree program were relevant and rewarding.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The classes and professors are top notch

2 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: they tried to make me retake a class that i recieved an A in

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: this college is very expensive. i wouldn't pay as much if it were up to me. but i love my major, my teachers and the experiences that i am getting

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: it's never easy. but it's not very hard. the easiest thing to do is to revolve work hours around class hours

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: i haven't taken online classes. i've taken them at my previous schools and they were so dreadful

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: this school is nothing but hands on in your field

2 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I am currently trying to transfer to a college that is in my home state, and the problem I am facing is not many places offer classes that would be transferable with ones I have already taken. Which means, right now I have only found colleges that except 3 of the 8 classes I have taken and passed.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition just increased, which means I won't be attending this university any longer. My financial aid had to cover my housing fees, and I ended up trying to pay for the tuition out of pocket. That's not easy, and it is still a headache. There is a reason why there's a 30% graduation rate, even though anyone can get accepted, not everyone can afford the tuition and housing cost plus the cost of living in a city like San Francisco. Personally, several people in my network who just like me were freshmen at this University, can't return because of the cost.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: They don't have their own athletic facilities, which is a downside. The library shouldn't be called a library, so if you thought about checking out books to read in your free time, don't bother. There is really little to no school spirit for such a large campus, and student body, there aren't any activities that bring everyone together, and that's another downside to this university.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The major I am currently pursuing is a new major option, but I have learned how to improve my skills. The workload can become heavy at times, but in the end it did was beneficial.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Personally the curriculum was diverse and offered a chance for me to really see what I needed to work on.
