Academic Flexibility: It's very hard to get good times for classes.

2 College Sophomore

Student Body: There are a lot of people who perpetuate there own stereotypes at this school ands its VERY uncomforting sometimes.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: The campus cruiser even took me to the hospital when i hurt my ankle.

2 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: its very expensive considering you learn very little starting out then get more advanced

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I haven't taken any but they are recommended a lot to me.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The academy of art has a bit of a stressful living environment but good classes.

Student Body: All my classes are online, and not one student in my city. So I feel alone and as an online student you miss so much and you really do not get to attend any activities and all you do is read about how fun and a great time the event was. I miss the classroom and being on campus.

Online Courses: The reason why I say its okay, because when your an online student the work load is so heavey and so much that you find yourself drowing sometimes. When you are unsure of something and lost you tend to spend a lot of time back and forth writing to your professors that sometimes things are lost in transaction and communication. The class sometimes post supplies and books that you purchase and then never use. I have spent over $300 in books that I never used when I first started, I even have supplies that I never used and I still don't know how to use. Some professors work well with and others do not. It can be extremly difficult at times, but all you do is pray that you do well and master your assignments, reading, projects along with you daily life. As far as students, they do not post on time, they wait until the last moment and then you are unable to review and responed to their assignments. Some students assignments are so week, but they share real bad critique of your work, and post their assignments at midnight. Students tend to also seem to complain a lot about why they did not or can not get their assignments completed. I never heard of so many excuses, I am sick, my child, my computer and etc. etc.

The work load for an online education should be though of real closely, because universities must understand that we are working adults trying to work towards a degree and the we are not just sitting at home. We work 8 hours, we travel at least and hour to work and an hour at home, you have to fix your children dinner and so many other task. Summer class are extremly fast, and they do not even edit the fall or spring work load just a little to make it easy and more managable and understandable during the summer 6 weeks course.

Tuition & Financial Aid: To be honest, as an online student YES I think that we are paying extremly to much. We are attending college away from the campus and are tuttion is just as much or if not higher as the students living on campus. Online student education should be a lot less expensive and more scholarships from the university should be open and awarded to online students. I feel that fianical aid should consider that we are off campus and have to pay for a lot more supplies and items to just complete a course at the Academy of Art. I think the President and owner just does not get it. Its really sad if you ask me. But if you want an education, and your major is not in your city, what else can you do but pay the fee or be out of an eduation/degree.

Academic Flexibility: I love the school, just said that as and adult am not able to be on campus. Online can very hard at times and so much is asked of you that you life really begins to be place on hold. Which you end up with really no life. Working full time and school online is not the most easist thing to do. I am also struggling in my mind on really how, and if I am learning everything. Sometimes, I do feel as if I am on my own and alone learning. I just wish it was a university in my area that I could attend and sit in a class room and experience my design major hands on.

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: The registration process was very easy, and quick someone worked with me over the phone. I have yet to get the full experience of being an online student, and I'm excited to see what it has to offer.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The prices are not great (lol). I went to the IIAC and all of my supplies were paid for through financial aid, and to have to pay out of pocket is different and unexpected, because when I was enrolling and doing my FAFSA, no one told me "hey Larry, also you will have to pay for your supplies". So, that would be my only big problem with the school tuition. The Financial Aid Office was very pleasant, patient, and understanding.

College Freshman

Student Body: I have no idea, because I take online classes!

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I have yet to start my classes, but my experience with the school so far have been great! The staff have beeen there every step of the way, and have been so pleasant to me and my process with getting ready for school. I just hope it continue as I progress in my education at the University .

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I find it quite AWESOME that I'm jumping right into my field of study! I have been to school where I had to do all these pre-reqs , and put so much pressure on you to take all these classes, and with taking all these classes you forgot what your majoring.

1 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Colleges in general are to expensive. My first contribution to society is paying debt

3 College Junior

Online Courses: It ok, you can do it on your own time, but response time from teachers is not great

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall it's a good experience there are just a few shortcomings like tuition cost for me. I really do love the school though. If I could do it all over again I would weigh my options on which school would offer me the most aid, but as far as the education I'm receiving I would totally pick the school again.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I will say I wish the tuition was cheaper but it's not as expensive as Parsons. If you are a student athlete you can forget about attempting to get a scholarship from the school. Also basically every semester since I've started the tuition has increased a bit.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library is the best, filled to the brim with reference material. Also Arc tutoring can be very helpful. As far as campus aesthetics go... It's hard to have a campus feel because all of the buildings are spread across the city.

College Junior

Career Services: I still have yet to graduate and have kept a job while I've been in school and so I haven't used the career center at all. I will say the upper class men I knew seemed to find jobs relatively easy but I don't know if that was their own drive or because of help through the career center.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I put it's okay because though most things are good the trouble I have had with transferring credits definitely bring it down. I still have to work of getting credits transferred in from my old school and I going into my third year.

3 College Junior

Student Body: The majority of the population is international students from Korea or China. Most of the guys in the fashion major are gay, of course. The most surprising element that I found in terms of diversity was the integration of deaf students in class with us. I am amazed and pleased seeing as my mom is hard of hearing and often at other schools they separate them into special classes.I will say in terms of diversity African American and Latin American students are probably the smaller groups.
