Overall Experience: This school has been a blessing all around. It has pushed me and challenged me to grow academically, spiritually and as a person. The teachers here are great and have an open door policy. Some teachers pray before each class and test and they even invite you over to their house to eat with them. The community at this school is better than was expected. Although there are social groups at this school, the sight of "cliques" is not to be found. Everyone knows everyone and for the most part we all get along well. I have made many lasting friendships at this school both with teachers, the workers here and the other students around me.

Campus Strictness: Abilene Christian University is a very strict school but it is entitled to be because it is a private institute. Although one may take one glance at the rules for this university and roll their eyes, the policies they have in place have actually helped rather than be an annoyance. The rule against no opposite sex in the dorm room has surprisingly been helpful and welcomed. This keeps the room free of the unnecessary distraction and allows us to roam freely around the dorm as if it were home. The policy about curfew has helped more times than it has been a burden. The curfew allows me to build a community within the dorm and it allows me to get studying done instead of hanging out with friends all night. The school policy is another thing that has become a blessing. This keeps the campus free of drunk stragglers and obscenities.

Campus Dining: It's better than most food, sometimes bland, but not bad.

Scholarships: I still don't understand everything, but it is a work and progress that people are willing to help me with.

Majors: The teacher like to talk and share with us, holding events often.

Overall Experience: As far as learning, it's okay and rather enjoyable, bible learning even for a christian college seems overly stretched, and as for making friends, I've fallen out of the loop, making any good experience random, lonely, and craved for. There is no connection for me with anyone.

Computers: I prefer my computerr but it is hard to connect to things like dorm printers and I have to go use unfamiliar computers instead.

Health & Safety: I've heard it was okay, but do not have any personal experience.

Diversity: There is actually a good deal of minority in different areas, but sometimes it feels awkward being around people who are not used to being around the minority, those who are different or hold different views. It's almost like trying to over expose the students to each other, and while that isn't bad, it doesn't always end out that way and one side is left feeling a little under appreciated.

Athletics: I don't really like sports

Academics: The professors are awesome. One of the best business schools.

Campus Housing: Dorms are old. Water heaters went out a lot. Dorms are close to everything.

Health & Safety: I would feel safe walking between dorms late at night. The town itself is very safe.

Parking: If you live off-campus it is very difficult to find a student parking spot. Faculty and staff have more parking than they need.

Athletics: We just moved to Division I. Games are often attended by students. The sports teams however are very great.

Off-Campus Dining: If you learn enough about the town you can find new places to eat. Lots of local restaurants that are really good.

Computers: The library has many computer labs, as well as some of the classroom buildings. The wifi is horrible.

Scholarships: This school gives a scholarship to almost every student which is great but doesn't do much to cover tuition.

Majors: I'm in the business school. The professors are all experienced, and have the highest degrees in their field. I would have made the same choice if I could do it over, or have gone to the University of Texas at Austin. I plan on sitting for the CPA, and working for one of the Big Four.

Diversity: I've met many international students. There are many clubs on campus devoted to diversity. I think there is more diversity there than many think.

Greek Life: The "social clubs" aren't greek affiliated. You pay too much for only grub, sing-song, formal, and pledging activities.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: It is a very attractive campus.

Off-Campus Housing: The school owns a lot of the houses around campus. Most of the homes in Abilene are old (1950s). The school owned houses don't allow pets.
