4 College Junior

Scholarships: ACU is very good about finding financial aid for its students. I have continued to receive additional scholarships without even having to apply for them, which has been a huge blessing and relief!

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Some houses are very old and need updates throughout but others are very nice and well taken care of. The best way to find a house and claim it is to make friends with people that are about to graduate.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The majority of the professors want to help you be your best. You can ask questions about school or life and feel perfectly comfortable. I have always felt that the professors in my department genuinely care about me and want to see me succeed.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: ACU has connections with many well known schools across the country. It is easy to network with people and make connections to help your job prospects as you graduate.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The majority of students are easy to approach and friendly. It's not hard to meet new people or make new friends. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved as well. There are all kinds of people here at ACU with their groups. Relationships can be a pretty big deal. There is the joke about "Ring by Spring" but sometimes it rings more true.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: ACU has social clubs not sororities and fraternities. These social clubs can be fun but do have a rigorous 6 week pledging period

3 College Junior

Nightlife: There are some great places to go to have some fun at night! Guitars and Cadillacs has college night on Thursdays where you get to learn to two-step, hang with friends, and meet new people. Oplin has a chill atmosphere and is most popular on Friday nights. There are other bars scattered throughout with cool options for drinks and hang time.

Campus Strictness: The biggest thing that ACU is strict about is having the opposite sex visiting the dorms. They are only allowed in the dorms on Thursdays from 6-11 and must check-in at the front desk before they can go up to a room.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: The Bean has a wonderful atmosphere with many options for lunch and dinner and several options for both breakfast and late-night snacks. They even have gluten free options! It is not open very late on the weekends, which is inconvenient for freshman and sophomores with their required meal plans.

Local Atmosphere: Abilene does not have many attractions or activities. There is nothing necessarily special about the city. However, if you find a great friend group, the possibilities are endless!

4 College Junior

Facilities: The ACU campus is beautiful year round. There are many places to study as well as many places to be social and meet new people. The library is awesome. It has so many areas that are unique and accessible to students for all sorts of individual or group projects.

Facilities: Student life on campus is amazing. Everywhere you go, there's a friendly face ready to help out and point you in the right direction or walk with you to chapel. People do their best to get to know you and remember your name, especially the staff. The REC center is top-of-the-line and open to all students. I find that it's a great place to go for a quick workout or to meet new and amazing people.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining is fun because you have your normal late night chains and options, but you also have several unique, West Texas options, many of which are old school authentic restaurants.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Personally, the opportunities I have are amazing and unparalleled to other schools. Abilene is fun but can be a little boring sometimes.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Student life is great because they give you a variety of options and you can always choose to get involved and meet other people.

4 College Junior

Academics: Academics are great. Professors are helpful and understanding and the academics are challenging and keep you interested and engaged.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: The bean tries to be great and it sometimes is, but other times the workers are unfriendly and the food is rationed out and hours are crazy limited for a college campus.

College Junior

Greek Life: I'm not part of our so called Greek life.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: The amenities are great, especially sophomore dorms, but curfew is ridiculous and some RA's are well meaning but too nosy.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The campus has 24 hours police officers on duty. The best thing is that they check regularly on the dorms throughout night to make sure there aren't any problems. They even will take time to talk to you and get to know you as well. The campus also has emergency stations set up all over campus just incase you're walking and need help.

4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: It is a small place with the big city feel to it. It is up and coming with the new places to eat at as well as entertainment. There are several places for a vast variety of students to either study, converse, or hangout.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Typical of every other college.

College Sophomore

Greek Life: I really have no idea.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: We have campus apartments for the upper classman that seem nice.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: Many different religions and ethnic groups. There were no type of conflicts.
