4 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: There's lots of variety and options. Love the salad bar!

5 College Junior

Majors: Getting involved with the jmc department is the best decision I've made while in college. The department gives you real life experience and the advisors and professors are willing to help you so much. I would recommend staying tenacious, and hound the people who do what you one day hope to do.

5 College Junior

Majors: The facilities are behind modern times but maintained and definitely used. I love the department, because we are generally taken seriously and work our jobs right alongside the professionals in the industry.

2 College Junior

Nightlife: Abilene lacks in nightlife, especially for a college town. There are very few places to go out, and those few get old fast.

3 College Junior

Athletics: Sports are on the rise due to our jump to division one, but student involvement is severely lacking. Student attendance at games is quite pitiful.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: The professors here are the best-classes are large enough to get many opinions and outlooks, but professors are willing and happy to assist you in anything, whthere it;s related to the class or not.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I was initially nervous coming to ACU because I feared it wouldn't have great connections-I could not have been more wrong! have met people all over the country from ACU who are happy to help with careers down the road.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Abilene is rather quite boring, but is taking steps to combat this. There have recently been several new restaurants and stores, especially downtown, and there are ways to find good clean fun!

College Junior

Campus Strictness: I can't rate because the school is very strict-too strict sometimes. This is college. We're adults and the rules can become too specific and tedious.

4 College Junior

Scholarships: ACU is very good about finding financial aid for its students. I have continued to receive additional scholarships without even having to apply for them, which has been a huge blessing and relief!

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Some houses are very old and need updates throughout but others are very nice and well taken care of. The best way to find a house and claim it is to make friends with people that are about to graduate.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The majority of the professors want to help you be your best. You can ask questions about school or life and feel perfectly comfortable. I have always felt that the professors in my department genuinely care about me and want to see me succeed.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: ACU has connections with many well known schools across the country. It is easy to network with people and make connections to help your job prospects as you graduate.

4 College Junior

Guys & Girls: The majority of students are easy to approach and friendly. It's not hard to meet new people or make new friends. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved as well. There are all kinds of people here at ACU with their groups. Relationships can be a pretty big deal. There is the joke about "Ring by Spring" but sometimes it rings more true.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: ACU has social clubs not sororities and fraternities. These social clubs can be fun but do have a rigorous 6 week pledging period

3 College Junior

Nightlife: There are some great places to go to have some fun at night! Guitars and Cadillacs has college night on Thursdays where you get to learn to two-step, hang with friends, and meet new people. Oplin has a chill atmosphere and is most popular on Friday nights. There are other bars scattered throughout with cool options for drinks and hang time.

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: The biggest thing that ACU is strict about is having the opposite sex visiting the dorms. They are only allowed in the dorms on Thursdays from 6-11 and must check-in at the front desk before they can go up to a room.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: The Bean has a wonderful atmosphere with many options for lunch and dinner and several options for both breakfast and late-night snacks. They even have gluten free options! It is not open very late on the weekends, which is inconvenient for freshman and sophomores with their required meal plans.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Abilene does not have many attractions or activities. There is nothing necessarily special about the city. However, if you find a great friend group, the possibilities are endless!

4 College Junior

Facilities: The ACU campus is beautiful year round. There are many places to study as well as many places to be social and meet new people. The library is awesome. It has so many areas that are unique and accessible to students for all sorts of individual or group projects.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: Student life on campus is amazing. Everywhere you go, there's a friendly face ready to help out and point you in the right direction or walk with you to chapel. People do their best to get to know you and remember your name, especially the staff. The REC center is top-of-the-line and open to all students. I find that it's a great place to go for a quick workout or to meet new and amazing people.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining is fun because you have your normal late night chains and options, but you also have several unique, West Texas options, many of which are old school authentic restaurants.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Personally, the opportunities I have are amazing and unparalleled to other schools. Abilene is fun but can be a little boring sometimes.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Student life is great because they give you a variety of options and you can always choose to get involved and meet other people.

4 College Junior

Academics: Academics are great. Professors are helpful and understanding and the academics are challenging and keep you interested and engaged.
