Name: Caitlin Lambert
Hometown: Waldron, AR
What made you choose your school? I love the atmosphere and the friendliness of everyone on campus, plus I received a Music Scholarship and a Commitment to Excellence Scholarship from the University of the Ozarks.
What activity makes you happy? Singing, writing poetry, swimming, walking/hiking, reading any random or great literature, watching the Dallas Stars play hockey with my amazing boyfriend Matthieu and hanging out with my friends on campus.
What is your biggest pet peeve? When reviewing college student papers for errors, they seem to overuse the words "that, this, it" and do not tell you what the subject is in the sentence. I only use the word "that" when I absolutely have to, or the sentence sounds weird without the word. I rarely ever use the same subject starter twice or overuse the same exact word. Redundancy is annoying and boring. Also, hard metal music drives me up the wall. Valley girls, drama queens, town gossips, narcissists, and judgmental people get on my last nerve.
What is something about you that might surprise someone? I love anime! Whether I am watching anime on T.V, or reading anime in graphic novels, I enjoy the art of Japanese comics. I do not know a lot about anime, but I love to engage in discussions about it.
What is your favorite book, movie, or TV show and why? Between the "Star Wars" movies, "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, and "Little Shop of Horrors", these about cover my all time favorite movies. "Star Wars" is just amazing and I love John Williams' music. I am a "Lord of the Rings" nerd and I love the story, plot, and characters of these movies so much! "Little Shop of Horrors" is one of the funniest musics made and the 1980's version is by far the best.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why? For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to visit Paris, France. I love Europe in general, but Paris has an artist, poetry, and creative vibe surrounding the city. I want to sit on a balcony in an apartment and write poetry while experiencing the day/night life of Paris.
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be? I want the power to teleport anywhere at anytime. Calling or driving would be completely useless, if I could teleport there. Having the power to go to any country, to see my friends and family in a blink of a eye, and never have to be late for work would be a fortunate power to possess.
If you had a million dollars, how would you spend it? First, I would pay a few college loans and keep enough money for books in the next two years. I would purchase a new car and put away money for future graduate school usage. I would give my mother money in order to pay off her house, pay off any debt, and get her better treatment for her bipolar depression. The rest I would save and use to travel and live my life in order to pursue my career goals.
What are your plans for after graduation? I plan to pursue a career in counseling, social work, or work for a publishing company
