Grad Year: 2013

What made you choose your school? I originally chose the University of San Francisco for the city itself (and because I was looking to leave New York City). In all honesty, I got incredibly lucky with their English department.

What activity makes you happy? Baking cupcakes.

What is your biggest pet peeve? Fruit salsas and improperly used synonyms.

What is something about you that might surprise someone? I'm afraid of mannequins.

What is your favorite book, movie, or TV show and why? I love Kurt Vonnegut's "God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater" and lots of contemporary poets. My favorite films include "Waking Life" and "The Philadelphia Story." My favorite shows are "How I Met Your Mother" and "Arrested Development," easily.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why? I would travel to Australia to swim with the dugongs. (A dugong looks like a manatee but is also closely related to the elephant, in case you were wondering.)

If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be? I'd like to fly.

If you had a million dollars, how would you spend it? I'd pay off my student loans, give money to my family, support my favorite organizations, and buy a red vespa with powder blue seats.

What are your plans for after graduation? I'm going to write a book and hope that it gets read.
