What made you choose your school? Admittedly, its cliche, but Colgate really just "clicked" from the second I stepped foot on campus. The opportunities to connect with the town, with the professors and with other students both in the classroom and out just kept forcing Colgate back to the top of my college search.
What activity makes you happy? Whitewater canoeing--I started this past summer and it really is my favorite adrenaline rush. In the winter, I'd say cross country skiing. We get a fair bit of snow (understatement) in Central New York and hitting the trails behind the Quad is the greatest mental release I can think of.
What is your biggest pet peeve? Indifference
What is something about you that might surprise someone? I take classical opera lessons at Colgate and have performed in French, Italian and English in the 1819 Memorial Chapel.
What is your favorite book, movie, or TV show and why? Book--that's a tough one. I really like anything by David Baldacci, in fact, I'd have to say his books are something of a guilty pleasure. Recently, "Water for Elephants" and "Mr. Peanut" have been my top reads.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why? I'd love to travel to the Middle East; I'm ready to break out of the Eurozone.
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be? Flying. Hands down. No questions asked.
What are your plans for after graduation? I hope to travel (first) and pursue a career in the non-profit sector.
If you had a million dollars, how would you spend it? At least part of it would be devoted to travel out West, especially the Canyonlands in Utah.
